Yet another hot topic for the Agile community, Agile HR! 

I chat with Sanjeev Sahgal, Head of HR Strategy and Agile HR in the World Bank, from Washington DC to understand Agile leadership when it comes to HR. 

Under Sanjeev's leadership, his team was recognized at Top 20 Most Admired HR Shared Services Organizations in 2018 by SSON (Shared Services Organization Network) while serving around 12000 WB staff members.

Main elements of an Agile HR manifesto: 

- Collaborative Networks

- Transparency

- Adaptability

- Inspiration & engagement

- Motivation & Ambition

- Approval app for managers on the go

- A Change Board that's going on for over 8 years and meeting every Monday since it's birth in 2013!

My top takeaways: 

- It is about a shift in culture, and it takes time!

- TRAIN everyone on all they need to know when expecting change, then allow it by supporting the change yourself as a leader

- TRAIN your middle managers and supervisors on COACHING skills

- Foster the culture of TRUST by listening to your team and implementing the changes they ask for, TAKE ACTION!

This was very key imo when it comes to "performance": 

- Be open to and encourage REAL-TIME performance feedback to your team, don't wait for quarterly or annual performance reviews, it builds trust and increases real performance

Last but not least: 

- It's ok to copy what's already working, don't re-invent the wheel just because...( Example of Docusign adoption and implementation - the same Docusign we all know!)
