Once you listen to this one, you'll notice that I bring out some of my soul jazz roots. And soul jazz itself has it's roots deep down in the swamps of the Mississippi Delta, and the brick and steel of the Chicago streets. The mother of all modern music... the blues. These selections showcase some of the wide range of treatments that the simple blues structure can offer. I've never heard a style of music that can express so much emotion from so simple a foundation.
