We either love it, hate it, don’t understand it, or love to hate it … it’s social media. You know it’s not going to go away so as a leader, manager or business owner you need to find a way to embrace it safely, constructively and for the benefit of your staff and the business.

You may have seen incidents of when social media highlights poor customer service, or when a company tries to make their product, service or brand go viral only to have it backfire in their face. It’s one thing to use social media as an integral part of sales, marketing and public relations. But it’s mission critical to pay attention to how your business or organisation embraces social media in your workplace. Have you got a social media workplace policy?
