STEPS TO A MEANINGFUL 2019

Philippians 3:12-14

Step One: Face my faults.

   “Not that I have already obtained all this, or

     have already been made perfect…I do not

     consider myself yet to have taken hold of it”

     (12-13 NIV).

            The key attitude is teachable.

Step Two: Forget the former.

   “But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind…”

     (13b NIV).

       The key attitude is forgetfulness.

Step Three: Focus on the future.

   “But one thing I do...straining toward what is

     ahead. I press on toward the goal…” (13-14 NIV).

         The key attitude is single-mindedness.

Step Four: Fight to the finish.

   “I press on toward the goal to win the prize which

     God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus”

     (14 NIV).

         The key attitude is persistence.
