Building Awesome Friendships

To provide  spiritual growth.

“I long to see you so that I may impart to you some

spiritual gift to make you strong—that is that you

and I may be mutually encouraged by each other’s

            faith” (Romans 1:11-12 NIV).

To create  emotional support.

“Carry each other’s burdens and in this way, you

will fulfill the law of Christ” (Galatians 6:2 NIV).

“Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do

good to all people, especially to those who belong

to the family of believers” (Galatians 6:10 NIV).

To maintain  social enjoyment.

“The Lord God said, ‘it is not good for the man to

be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.’”

(Genesis 2:18 NIV).

To reach  your goals.

“Two are better than one, because they have a good

return for their labor: If they fall down, they can

help each other up. … A cord of three strands

is not easily broken” (Ecclesiastes 4:9-10; 12b NIV).

“So, in everything, do to others what you would have

them do to you; for this sums up the law and the

            prophets” (Matthew 7:12 NIV).
