RATING
I’m learning a lot about an already disgusting situation but what actually pushed me to write a review is the guest judge being super high almighty and it bugged the shit out of me. Saying things like “you didn’t earn that book deal” is privileged and naive as hell. It doesn’t excuse working with Weinstein but it’s so irksome the lack of understanding in why people agreed to do anything that wasn’t 100 percent on the up and up. Like… seriously? She never even had debt and can’t understand why people would do anything to get ahead… seriously?!It’s entitled as hell to say you’re too smart or too ethical to do the things half of these people did honestly out of fear and their own trauma. It’s hard to listen to parallel to the awful things Weinstein did this self righteousness The world isn’t binary with either victims or perpetrators. Most perpetrators are also victims and being empathic to them doesn’t take away from what they did. This of course doesn’t cover people who are not empathic and just covering their buddy’s ass
Beyond brilliant series. Listened to repeatedly. Recommend to anyone with relationship anxiety
I repeatedly listen to this episode because it touches on depression from a medical standpoint and discusses it through anecdotal stories that really touch me. Brilliantly done. Funny. Touching. Highly recommended
