Either certain British media types don't care to examine the rhetorical power of word choice, or are intentionally setting up one group as more brutal. NB: the one that is objectively less murderous by more than 15-fold is "atrocious." The 15 times more brutal is "stunning." Encouraging Guardian staff to get a moral compass or STFU; this framing undermines y'all's credibility.
