Hi everybody, welcome to your move where we

0:03

help you make better decisions and live with

0:05

fewer regrets. I'm Andy Stanley and I'll be

0:07

your guide. So when you hear the words

0:09

arrogant and self-absorbed, anybody come to mind? Probably

0:12

and you don't really like them and

0:15

you really don't want to be like

0:17

them, but you could be. In

0:19

fact, you might be and you don't know it. So

0:21

I thought we should talk about it right here on

0:23

your move. Stick around. So

0:30

I want to begin today with something

0:32

that's common to all of us. This is actually something

0:35

that we all, and this is going to be kind

0:37

of a strange way to start, something that

0:39

we all have in common, not just with each

0:41

other. This is something we all have

0:43

in common with God and we

0:46

don't have much in common with God. But this is one

0:48

thing that we all have in common with God. And if

0:50

you don't believe in God, you might

0:53

be shocked that Christians believe this is true

0:55

of God because in your experience with Christians,

0:57

maybe you don't necessarily think this is true

0:59

of us. But this

1:02

is true of all of us, whether

1:04

you believe in God or not. So this is

1:06

something we all have in common with each other

1:08

and with God. God

1:11

resists the proud. I mean, isn't that true?

1:13

I mean, the proud are like the arrogant

1:15

people, the people who are never wrong. I

1:17

mean, they're never wrong. No matter what you

1:20

say and how you confront them, they're never

1:22

wrong. You're the one that's always wrong. Okay.

1:25

Peter who wrote this, Peter who knew Jesus, Peter who

1:27

like one of the first people Jesus called to follow

1:29

him, famous Peter. He used to wrote this and he

1:31

wrote this many years after the resurrection of Jesus. And

1:33

this is what else he says because this is something

1:36

else we can all agree with. God

1:38

resists the proud, but he shows favor to

1:40

the humble. I'm like, me

1:43

too. So this is something we have in common

1:45

with each other for the most part. And according to

1:47

Peter and according to the New Testament, according to Jesus,

1:50

God, our heavenly Father is the

1:53

same way, which brings us kind

1:55

of to the topic of the thing we're gonna

1:57

talk about today is this word, humble or humility.

2:00

Humility, I mean, we all know this,

2:03

we've experienced it, is so powerful. In

2:06

fact, if you're having a conflict with someone,

2:08

whether it's family or work or neighborhood or

2:10

whatever it might be, when you're having a

2:12

conflict with someone and you're coming in

2:15

hot, like you got your thing all lined up

2:17

and you've had this imaginary conversation 20

2:20

times, you know what you're going to say and you're

2:22

going to show them you're wrong, they're

2:24

wrong and you're right and you come in hot. In

2:28

a difficult conversation or a difficult

2:31

environment, when you bump into humility,

2:34

it's so off-putting, it just puts

2:36

you off balance because you're expecting

2:38

them to be defensive and they're

2:41

not defensive. You're expecting pushback and

2:43

the thing is about humility. Humility

2:45

doesn't push back. Humility

2:48

absorbs and sometimes you don't

2:50

even know what to do with it. It's

2:53

so powerful. And

2:56

when humility meets humility,

2:59

just about anything can be

3:01

resolved. And this isn't new information, you don't need to write this

3:03

down. We know this. So I

3:05

want to ask you just the strangest question, okay?

3:08

There's no good answer to this because it's not even a

3:10

good question, but to kind of get us on the same

3:12

page of where we're going today. Are

3:15

you ever tempted by

3:18

humility? I

3:20

mean, you know what it means to be tempted, right?

3:22

Something that appeals to a desire. Are

3:25

you ever tempted by humility? How about

3:27

this? Are you ever tempted to be

3:30

humble? No. Right?

3:33

We don't think of this as a temptation.

3:35

Are you ever tempted to be humble but

3:38

you resist? I rebuke you humility. I will

3:40

not give in to you. You shall not

3:42

pass. I mean, do we ever have that

3:44

internal conversation with humility? No.

3:47

Because humility isn't really a temptation

3:50

we resist, but it's

3:52

definitely a posture that we

3:54

should all adopt. After

3:57

all, we like it when we see

3:59

it. We like it when we're

4:01

confronted with it. So why

4:03

would we not pursue it? So

4:06

for the past two times we were together, I

4:08

gave you an assignment and I promise I'm gonna

4:11

give you a different assignment. I'm not gonna leave

4:13

you with this one. But I wanted you to

4:15

sit in this a little bit and I've gotten

4:17

some really interesting feedback for those of you who've

4:19

really attempted this or thought about this. I

4:21

ask you to, during the week, that when

4:23

you find yourself in conflict with somebody, whenever

4:26

there's tension in a relationship at home or

4:28

at work or school or wherever you are,

4:30

to at least ask yourself, ask yourself, whether

4:32

you act on it or not, what

4:35

would choosing to lose look

4:38

like in this situation? What

4:40

would it look like if somehow I figured out

4:42

how can I lose in this discussion? How can

4:44

I lose in this tension? How can I lose

4:46

in this argument? What would it look like

4:48

to let somebody else go first even though I got

4:51

here first? What would it look

4:53

like to let somebody take the idea even though

4:55

it was my idea? What would it look like

4:57

to let somebody else pull ahead and get the credit

5:00

to have their way? What would that look

5:03

like? So we've been sitting in that for a couple of weeks.

5:05

I hope. So moving on. It's

5:08

interesting, and I don't know why this is

5:10

the case and nobody really knows, but the

5:13

only miracle of Jesus that Jesus performed, the

5:15

only miracle that Jesus performed that's recorded for

5:17

us in all four gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke,

5:19

and John, is the feeding of the 5,000 or

5:22

the feeding of the multitude as some

5:24

Bibles refer to it. The

5:27

feeding of the 5,000, which was a

5:29

spectacular, very public miracle. This

5:31

wasn't done in the dark of night.

5:33

We're healing somebody and can you prove

5:35

it? I mean, out in the open,

5:37

all these people are fed. And what

5:40

happens right after Jesus feeds this multitude

5:42

of people, these 5,000 men plus

5:44

women and children, what happens right

5:47

after it is not miraculous, but

5:49

it's extremely instructive as we think

5:51

about the way of the cross.

5:54

Because right after Jesus feeds this

5:56

multitude of people, he is offered

5:58

once again. a

6:00

crown. He's offered once again a kingdom.

6:03

He's tempted maybe, or at least

6:05

he's certainly offered the opportunity to

6:07

become the king of Israel.

6:11

So here's how it happened. John

6:14

the Baptist had just been beheaded. John

6:16

the Baptist is a folk hero during

6:18

that time in Judea, but especially in

6:20

Galilee. People, all those masses, the

6:23

normal people love John the Baptist because he

6:25

called out the corruption in the temple. He

6:27

called out the corruption of the politicians. He

6:29

was fearless. He did not care what

6:32

anybody thought about him. He just said it like

6:34

it was, and it got on Herod's

6:36

nerve because it got personal for Herod. Herod

6:38

has John the Baptist arrested, and then he

6:40

has John the Baptist beheaded. So

6:42

there's all this uproar in Galilee and

6:45

Judea, and just if you have a visual of

6:47

the map, you know way up high, see a

6:49

Galilee, the Jordan River, Dead Sea, and over here

6:51

is Jerusalem. So you got this sort of north-south

6:53

thing. So from Galilee to Judea, people are disturbed,

6:56

and Passover is coming. It's just a

6:58

few weeks away, and during Passover

7:00

in this region of the world,

7:02

the nationalistic spirit, the patriotism of

7:04

the people, it was at an

7:06

all-time high because Passover was the

7:09

celebration of God delivering the nation

7:11

of Israel from Egyptian bondage and

7:13

taking them to their land. But

7:15

now they're in their land,

7:17

and once again they're in bondage

7:20

to Rome. So during Passover, I mean

7:22

the whole sense of hey we need

7:24

to throw off our oppressors. It ran

7:26

at an all-time high. Governor

7:28

Pilate would you know triple the

7:31

guard around the temple, send more

7:33

shock troops into the city of

7:35

Jerusalem during Passover. It was so

7:38

extraordinarily tense. So Jesus senses

7:40

all this, and now that John the

7:43

Baptist has been killed, I mean it

7:45

just heightens the emotion, and he knows

7:47

now everybody is gonna look to him

7:49

because John the Baptist said Jesus is

7:51

the one. He's the Messiah, he's God's

7:53

final king. So Jesus does what

7:56

Jesus does instead of heading to Jerusalem. He heads

7:58

the other way. He goes north. He

8:00

goes all the way to the Sea of Galilee. In the text says.

8:02

He went to a solitary place

8:04

he and his twelve apostles to

8:06

get away from. The crowd.

8:09

But. The spot him. And.

8:11

Dozens. And. Hundreds

8:13

com. And then

8:16

thousands. And.

8:18

He looks as this group of people and they're

8:20

like a flock of sheep. But they're like a

8:22

flock of sheep without a leader, without a shepherd.

8:24

He listed as proud. He has compassion on them

8:26

and he begins healing the disciples. What? you know?

8:28

I thought were going to get a break so

8:31

this goes on. Know? maybe for two or three

8:33

days? We don't know, but on one particular day

8:35

they've been there, he's healed all day long. The

8:37

sun is setting, And nobody's

8:39

leaving. Their just staying and

8:41

even remember this part. So the

8:43

disciples come to Jesus lizard say

8:45

Jesus look send the crowds away.

8:48

And. And here's their cover for what they really

8:50

wants. some the crabs, oysters and go to the

8:52

villages and by themselves some foods and we can

8:54

do to bring. Cinema.

8:57

Way to with you buy some food. You know because

8:59

they are. They're going to start out her the been

9:01

here all day and Jesus there's out of the crowd

9:03

and feals compassion. Then.

9:06

Smiles and I love this new terms of

9:08

the Apostles, his disciples and Is Is audio.

9:12

You. Give us up? Need. Love.

9:14

This. And

9:16

you know the story. And they did.

9:19

They. Said these thousands of people and

9:21

the crowd goes wild. And for

9:23

them it is not just a

9:25

miracle, it's a sign, a sign

9:27

of something to points or something.

9:29

About all Jesus miracles they were

9:31

just stand alone miracle. They were

9:33

all signs pointing to something and.

9:35

They realize this is a science. The

9:37

time has come. John the Baptist was

9:40

right. This is the prophet set by

9:42

God's He is the Once He just

9:44

did. What teams do? He said

9:46

his people, he's the Messiah and

9:48

that that The text says this

9:51

the after the people saw the

9:53

sign that Jesus performed. they

9:55

begin to say surely this is the prophet who

9:57

has come into the world this is god's final

9:59

game he is the Messiah. This

10:01

is Jesus big moment

10:03

because it's a big crowd.

10:07

And the text is so specific. This is

10:09

why the text says there were over 5,000

10:12

men. Why that number? Because 5,000 was

10:16

the number of a Roman legion.

10:19

This is the equivalent of a Roman legion

10:21

and they are way up north in Galilee.

10:24

And if they decide to march on

10:27

Jerusalem to make him king by the

10:29

time they get from Galilee four or

10:31

five days later all the way to

10:33

the gates of Jerusalem, they would have

10:35

20, 30, 40,

10:37

maybe 50,000 men.

10:40

So this whole thing turns political.

10:43

And Jesus, knowing

10:46

that they intended to come

10:48

and make him king by

10:52

force. He knows what's in their

10:54

heart. Matthew who is there says

10:56

the most interesting thing at this point. He

10:59

uses this word. He

11:01

says immediately, immediately, immediately.

11:03

Jesus says to his guys, come on, let's go.

11:07

Come on, follow me. We're going. And they're like, no,

11:09

we want to stay. I mean, this is, I

11:11

mean, this is, this is epic. This is going

11:13

to be amazing. I mean, Jesus like, come

11:16

with me. And the text tells us that Jesus,

11:18

your king with all that

11:20

handed to him, all that available. I

11:23

love this withdrew again to a

11:25

mountain by

11:27

himself, not because he

11:29

didn't deserve a crown and not because he wasn't a king.

11:31

He didn't want that crown. He didn't want

11:33

to be that king. He didn't want

11:35

that kingdom. It wasn't his way. And

11:39

that wasn't the way he was going to do it. So instead

11:41

of marching on Jerusalem,

11:45

some days later, Jesus

11:48

and his apostles march to

11:51

Jerusalem, not to

11:53

take life, to

11:55

give his life away,

11:58

modeling the way. the way

12:02

of the cross. And when

12:04

he gets there, he tries to kinda sneak in with

12:06

the crowd and they're not having it and they recognize

12:08

him again. And then he buries himself

12:10

in the depths of the city for a week and

12:13

he wants to celebrate a private passover with his

12:16

guys and so he secretly arranges

12:18

where they're gonna do passover so they can

12:20

just be away from the crowds. And

12:22

the gospel, all the gospel writers tell us through, the

12:25

gospel writers tell us that the Pharisees and the teachers

12:27

of the law have spies out

12:29

everywhere looking for this guy, looking

12:31

for Jesus. And

12:33

Jesus has this private room and

12:36

only a few people know where it is. It's such

12:38

interesting detail. Jesus works it out himself behind the scenes

12:40

and he gathers the 12 and

12:42

they have their final passover together. And

12:45

the apostles, we know what they're thinking. They're thinking, well, maybe this

12:47

is it. We're in the city. I mean, we're here now. And

12:51

they've just celebrated passover. I mean, all you

12:53

gotta do is just a spark. It's a

12:55

powder keg waiting to happen. And

12:59

it gets lost on us that in this moment, after

13:01

they celebrate the passover meal, the

13:03

next thing Jesus says, Jesus'

13:05

last act before he's

13:07

arrested, his last act before he's

13:10

arrested, is

13:12

he washes his disciples feet.

13:17

Now, just to put this in

13:19

perspective, rabbis

13:21

don't wash anybody's feet. In fact, rabbis

13:23

wouldn't even allow their

13:25

disciples to wash their feet. The only people that wash

13:27

feet were slaves, the lowest of the

13:30

low. And Jesus works out this whole

13:32

environment where there's not anybody to wash

13:34

feet on purpose. So

13:36

when Jesus stands up and

13:39

removes his rabbinical robe and lays it on

13:41

a stool and then puts

13:43

a towel around his waist, they're all thinking, uh-uh,

13:45

no, no, no, no, no, no. We have seen

13:47

what those hands can do and you are not

13:49

about to wash our dirty feet. And Peter says

13:52

what the rest of them are thinking and Jesus

13:54

is like Peter. Sit back

13:56

down. The

14:01

pictures have everybody sitting at a table. That's

14:03

not the arrangement. The gospels are clear. They're

14:05

reclining. I don't know how

14:07

to describe this. I was gonna show you a picture, but

14:09

it doesn't do it justice. So just imagine you're leaning on

14:11

an elbow. You're on your

14:13

left elbow. You're eating with your right hand.

14:15

The person next to you is here. They're

14:17

kind of in your chest and somebody's in

14:19

theirs. And it goes all the way around

14:22

the table. Everybody's legs are extended behind them.

14:24

They're all facing each other. And Jesus is

14:26

behind them. They

14:28

can all make eye contact with each other. Jesus

14:32

is behind them. And

14:35

this takes a lot of time. And

14:38

during all of that time, look up here. Your

14:44

Savior is

14:46

on his knees at the

14:48

feet of men who would abandon

14:50

him that very

14:53

night. One

14:58

of them, Peter, would deny that he even knew

15:00

who Jesus was that very

15:02

night or early that next morning.

15:06

One of them had already

15:08

betrayed him. Judas

15:10

Iscariot was responsible

15:13

for making sure Jesus was

15:15

arrested that very night. And

15:20

Jesus washed Judas'

15:23

feet. Let

15:27

that sink in. This

15:31

is the way of Jesus. This

15:35

is the way of the cross. This

15:38

is what eventually rocked

15:41

an empire and shaped the

15:44

world. When Jesus talked about enemy

15:46

love, love your enemy, he was

15:48

not kidding. That night, they

15:50

didn't know it. That night, he

15:53

showed them how it was done.

15:57

And When that most humiliating moment of their

15:59

life finally pass, Jesus stands up with this

16:02

Rabbinic road back on and the asking this

16:04

question they knew better than answer Out lab.

16:07

Know. Do

16:09

you understand? What? I've just

16:11

done. For. You. To.

16:14

If there's anything other than humiliate is completely

16:16

know what have you done for us? He.

16:19

Says you call me and rightly

16:22

so. You com a teacher and

16:24

you call me Lord and your friends.

16:26

That is what I hear that I.

16:28

Am a big deal. You're not

16:30

wrong about that. You seen what

16:32

I'm. Capable of. You.

16:34

Know what I can do. We were just

16:36

Bethany and I let Lazarus be dead for

16:38

three and a half to four days so

16:40

you guys would know who you're dealing with.

16:42

I am a big deal. And

16:46

what he knew that they didn't know was in a few

16:48

weeks as they were going to be a big deal as

16:50

well. And.

16:53

Here's what I know of us. Some of you. You're.

16:55

A big deal. You. Are.

16:58

People have to. Some of you. You. When

17:00

you speak people little bit quieter, people write down what

17:02

you say. You're. Deal.

17:05

And. Jesus as it is group pace you're out. I'm

17:07

a big deal. wonder you're going to be a big

17:09

deal with start of a list. Talk about all the

17:11

big deals to do. Here's

17:13

what you do when you have a

17:15

little extra authority, little extra resources, a

17:17

little extra powerful expert influence guys. This,

17:19

Do you know what I've just done? Ready

17:25

this. As it is

17:27

says it rupert here and not a

17:29

Jesus' followers not occur since I'm so

17:32

sorry the church has gotten this consistently

17:34

right. He.

17:36

says. Ah, the

17:39

video. I

17:41

has set for you. An example. That

17:44

uses Think about, Know, right?

17:47

Down know agree with no.

17:49

Consider. Know. The

17:52

used a do as I

17:54

have. Done as they

17:56

don't know what in the moments

17:58

he just washed. Judas.

18:05

That. You should do is I have done. For.

18:12

The. You should do for others.

18:15

What? I have done. For.

18:17

You. Which. Is what. Or.

18:19

Here's what he did. Here's. What he did throughout his

18:21

ministry. This is what it means to follow Jesus. This is what it

18:24

means to get and sake with the the cross. He

18:26

says I want you guys for the rest of your life and they

18:28

did it. I was. You guys are the

18:30

rest of your life and even if he was here and he was

18:32

look at those of us who claim to be christians he was a

18:34

said this is for you to do know what I've done for you.

18:38

I were here for the rest of your life

18:40

to choose because it is always a choice. It

18:42

is an invitation. You do not have to accept

18:44

it, but I'm inviting you to accept this offer

18:46

the recipe like I want you to choose because

18:49

it's a choice and I want you to chance

18:51

because it is risky. And.

18:54

I want you to Chase. I want you

18:56

to be in. Sentinel. I

18:58

want you to choose. I want you to chance.

19:00

I want you to chase. Humility.

19:04

I want you to give in

19:06

to the temptation to go second.

19:09

Or. Last. Or

19:12

maybe uses don't even go. At

19:15

all. I want

19:17

you to throw actively every day in

19:19

and every environment do for others and

19:21

this is for those of you who

19:23

are a big deal. In my world

19:25

I'm a big deal on the boss.

19:27

My jokes are so funny. Jesus

19:31

is ok. Here's what I wanted it

19:33

is. I. Want

19:35

you to look for opportunities? Oh wait for

19:37

the come along. I want you to proactively.

19:39

I want you to do for others what others

19:42

expect others to do for you. I

19:45

want you to do for others. Were

19:47

those others expect some other people to do?

19:49

I don't want you to just do for

19:52

others what you want Dumfries. I want you

19:54

to do actually do for others. What?

19:56

Is generally. Done. Now.

20:01

There's more. This is so many tomatoes is

20:03

the most amazing part is so subtle. Jesus.

20:06

Would he wash their feet? He wasn't just

20:08

illustrating something asset for you. An example, visit

20:10

us at for example trivial illustrates Jesus was

20:13

a simply illustrating something. When you wash their

20:15

feet, he was responding to something similar. Time

20:17

we talked about the for the spirit and

20:20

I said the fruit of the spirits of

20:22

his lovejoy These patients kind of goodness. General

20:24

self control. Those are responses you don't get

20:26

up in the morning and say today I'm

20:29

going to be so patient, Know you, you

20:31

wait and then you to respond With patients

20:33

you respond with self control. You respond with

20:36

kindness. Their responses. When.

20:38

Jesus got up to wash

20:40

their feet. He wasn't

20:42

simply setting an example, he was

20:45

responding to something. Here's what Jesus

20:47

told John later that John puts

20:50

in his account of the gospel.

20:52

This is amazing. This. Is

20:54

India for room Jesus? Knowing.

20:59

That the father had given.

21:02

All. Things. Complete

21:06

control. Everything.

21:08

As he would say later and again.

21:10

it's great commission everything and heaven and

21:12

on earth. Jesus recognizes

21:14

that the Father had given all.

21:17

Things into his hands, And

21:20

that he had come forth from God and

21:22

was going back. To. God

21:24

this is so amazing. In

21:26

that moment during Passover, Jesus

21:28

is overwhelmed with some renewed

21:31

or heightened. Sense. Of

21:33

who he was. Have

21:36

the power. He had.

21:40

He was. Oh once he knew he had

21:42

all the cars it was like in this

21:44

moment I'm just gonna guess I'll have it

21:46

because that's all we got to go Us

21:48

is like. In this moment he realized his

21:50

heavenly father had said son. Their.

21:52

The keys. Hands

21:56

off. All.

21:58

Power. In Heaven And. In

22:02

your hands, Not. What are you going to do? With

22:04

it. What?

22:06

Do you know. What? It dawns on you.

22:09

That. You're the most powerful person in the room. When

22:12

you realize I got more resources, a more influence

22:14

than everybody else, What? What are you do that

22:16

moment? In this is so

22:18

amazing and that moment John says when

22:21

it dawns on Jesus or this is

22:23

renewed realization of who he is in

22:25

the power and is as a media

22:27

at least. That's when

22:29

he got up from the

22:31

supper. And lay aside as garments and

22:34

taking. The towel he girded himself

22:36

and was their feet. His

22:41

immediate. What? Are

22:43

we live like this? Imagine if this was

22:45

the reputation of the christian community. He

22:48

made His immediate response was the was

22:50

the feet of cowards The myers. And.

22:53

Leaders. Jesus, you've

22:56

got all the power in the world. What are

22:58

you gonna do? Hours

23:03

later, they abandon him. He's. Arrested.

23:06

Slogged. And.

23:09

Jesus. Jesus

23:11

to whom all authority had been

23:14

given. Refuse

23:16

once again to leverage any

23:18

of that power for his

23:21

own sake, for his own.

23:23

Benefit. He chose instead to leverage it

23:26

for our. For.

23:28

Your sake by every human estimation. As

23:30

we said less, I'm Jesus. Lost. But

23:33

what they didn't understand: The last of the

23:35

resurrection it wasn't a Jesus was against winning.

23:37

Seasons wasn't against winning, he was just

23:39

doing. he was his involve an entirely

23:41

different competition. He was competing

23:44

for an entirely different prize. He

23:46

was competing against Pride. He

23:48

was competing against arrogance. He was a complete

23:50

competing against self sufficiency. and he had every

23:52

right in the world as the son of

23:55

God to claim the for. Himself he said

23:57

no, Way and it's

23:59

not too. My people. And it's not the way of

24:01

those who choose to follow. Me:

24:04

He was competing for. Others.

24:08

He. Was competing. For.

24:11

You. Com.

24:15

His humility is what

24:18

brought you your South

24:20

face. He

24:23

was competing for me any one. and

24:25

when he won. His

24:28

Asos always always almost over

24:30

me when he won. His

24:32

father stood. And

24:35

applauded. Because.

24:37

Is Paul would remind us later. Jesus

24:39

This is this amazing Jesus being a

24:41

very nature god never considered equality with

24:44

got something to be used to his

24:46

own. Advantage He was a big deal.

24:48

He just never acted like. A big

24:50

deal. He never played the God

24:53

card. I'm God. I'll have that

24:55

police he never lever zip. For

24:57

his own advantage, imagine if we

24:59

live like that. Rather he was

25:01

the opposite way. very broad is

25:03

rather he made himself nothing, he

25:06

made himself and nobody by taking

25:08

the status in the role. Of

25:10

a servant and wash. Their feet. And

25:13

being found pulses in been found in appears

25:15

as a man Here's our word. He

25:18

humbled. Himself.

25:22

He shows it. He.

25:25

Chased. Him, He lived

25:28

it. And

25:31

and to what degree the the humble himself

25:33

for you and me. By.

25:37

Becoming obedient, To.

25:39

Death. Even. Death. On

25:42

across good news. You will never have to

25:44

do this. I'm imagining. But.

25:46

If you're wondering how far do you go, how load

25:48

you go. That's.

25:50

How far he went? That's how

25:53

low he went. He lives this

25:55

out to the bitter. Crucify.

25:58

Him Crucify Him. And

26:00

so the cross. We

26:02

can be. I got. Christianity.

26:06

For. Your face. And. Mine.

26:08

Because. The team flipped.

26:12

The Script. So I want to leave us

26:14

a new question this week. Or

26:16

would it look like. What

26:19

would it look like? The taste. Know

26:21

what if what would say Singh from

26:24

Humility look like for you? Look up

26:26

here. It's not simply responding humbly, that's

26:28

good. What is

26:30

it look like to pro

26:32

actively chase humility? like? You're.

26:36

A set of marching on Jerusalem because you're all

26:38

powered up and boat up and you're right, you're

26:41

the boss and you got the right argument. I've

26:43

worked at all us to set a margin on

26:45

Jerusalem. To March.

26:48

Teachers. To

26:50

give your life away the lay down a little

26:52

bit of your life with them for her from

26:54

him for that groove in light of what's happened

26:56

in your community. or maybe in your family. Maybe

26:58

was one of your. Kids.

27:01

And. I can answer

27:03

this question for you, but here's

27:05

what I can almost guarantee you

27:08

if you last get. You'll.

27:11

Know. If

27:13

you'll allow yourself to be

27:15

tempted by humility, You'll

27:17

see. And perhaps

27:19

you'll be chased. And

27:23

when the church. If

27:26

the church ever rediscovers

27:28

the way of the

27:30

Cross, perhaps the world

27:32

could change. Chooses.

27:38

The sweet chance it's risky. There's

27:41

not necessarily above. The

27:44

tasted. Like you're saying

27:46

is that way. Listening.

27:56

one it's a minute to thank everyone
