Hoosiers is an old-timey feeling movie partly because it's set in a small town in Indiana in 1951 but also because that's the way they wanted it to feel. It's definitely a classic and a slow-burn of a movie. There isn't anything flashy, even the basketball sequences are mostly slow motion, but again that seems on purpose.
Hoosiers is a solid movie, and must see for anyone who likes basketball or small town dramas. The acting fits with the movie but we think the "love" story doesn't work. The setting and look are what really gives this movie it's overall feeling like you are actually watching a movie made in the 50's. Enjoy!
