In this episode, I go in depth on my journey with TSW also known as red skin syndrome or as I like to call it, Zombie-itis. This episode gets rather graphic and can be triggering for anyone going through or who has gone through TSW. Signs to look out for are:

  • You have been using steroids and at some point they stopped working/made the issue worse, so you started using them more frequently than normal/require a stronger dose.
  • Your skin is super inflamed, red, weepy, and extremely itchy.
  • You have troubles regulating your body temperature.
  • Swollen lymph nodes.
  • Nerve Pain.
  • Crepey/Alligator skin.
  • Sensitive to sunlight.
  • Changes in skin allergies and/or sensitivities.
  • Skin not getting better with topical treatments & is cycling through intense flares.

These are a few main indicators that you are in TSW. For more factual information, please refer to ITSAN.org and TSWassist.com as great resources, as well as talk to your Dr. but be FIRM in that you will not continue steroid use. Your Dr. has to be on board with your healing plan. Happy healing!!
