The Federal Communications Commission (FCC)'s approval of Ligado Network's proposal to deploy 5G network in L-band spectrum has been met with fierce opposition from members of the both Senate and the House, as well as various departments across the US Government, most notably the DoD. The opposition cites possible GPS interference as a major risk of Ligado's plan. The final fate of the Ligado case will set the course for 5G revolution in national defense and in US at large.
