Welcome to an all new podcast from the Young Democrats of Maryland (YDM). YDM, as the official youth arm of the Democratic Party of Maryland, is a statewide organization of individuals, age 36 and younger, who support the principles of the Democratic Party through community service, advocacy for progressive issues, and supporting Democratic candidates. This podcast will be a show where we sit down and chat with influencers in Maryland who you as a young voter would like to know better. I believe we cannot hear someone until we know them. Each episode of this podcast will feature a local influencer, primarily featuring democratic elected officials. And the interviews will feature 3 unique parts. In Part 1 we will get to know the guest. Why did they decide to get involved in local politics and what about their journey defines them today? In Part 2 we will talk politics. Hearing the guests take on the most important issues of the day. Finally in Part 3 we will ask the guest how YOU can get involved? From their perspective and experience, how can you help as a young democrat in Maryland?
