Everyone, at some point or another, has been told that their voice does not deserve to be heard. On Vocal Unrest we will explore our relationship with our voice. We will delve into each guest’s opinion of their voice, how that opinion was shaped, and how they either embrace or resist their voice on a daily basis. The aim of Vocal Unrest is to explore how negative or positive opinions of our voices are created, with the ultimate goal of empowering guests and listeners to work against any negativity and reach their full vocal potential. Rachel Robinson is a professional singer and vocal coach located in the San Francisco Bay Area. She has spent her entire life singing, and now strives to help others fulfill their vocal potential. She founded Vocal Unrest in 2020 in order to explore both the joys and frustrations that come with singing. Her goal is to make singing accessible for everyone.
