In this new podcast, author and historian VKY(Victoria Kabeya) talks about the false propaganda pushed by the media which have orchestrate power through dictatorship and abuse. The new "artists" are not but products whose brands are either promoted and pushed by the media or destroyed by them. No one in the last generation will leave an everlasting impact on music as the majority of the Black American singers born in the early 1980s had doors which were already opened for them. As a consequence, their music is not important as they never had to fight for anything but to preserve their image. The success of Beyoncé is superficial and built by the corporations and media who push her. In reality, she has no classic and has not revolutionized the industry at all. Yet, she, along with many others such as Lady Gaga or now Cardi B are promoted as the new faces of musical progress, when in reality, they are not only weak but do not take risks like Prince or Janet Jackson in the past. Though Beyoncé had a promising career, she was never the best singer in DC, as surpassed by Kelly Rowland. As she wasted too much time trying to please white people, she missed her opportunity to take risks and truly impose herself as a legend. If she had launched the Lemonade concept back in 2007, after Katrina, she would have become a real music icon. Not a product. http://www.victoriakabeya.com
