Scotty Mullen is an award-winning writer known for his work with Syfy, Lionsgate, Lifetime, and Tubi. He is also an accomplished casting director and writing mentor. After getting his feet wet writing on the pop-culture juggernaut "Sharknado" franchise, Scotty's storytelling skills have evolved into writing everything from prestige horror scripts to true-life dramas. He believes in living life by following "The Other F Word" - if it's not fun, don't do it. As of this date, Scotty has cast 72 movies and TV series and written 30 produced screenplays which have been filmed in 7 different countries.

With over 15 years of on-the-ground Hollywood experience as a publicist, ad executive, casting director, and screenwriter, Scotty uses his knowledge to help actors and creators navigate smart and achievable ways to pursue their creative goals. Originally from small-town Kansas, Scotty went to college in Atlanta and now works from his home in West Hollywood.

VersaVision brings on working entertainment industry guests to speak about their work in Film, Television, Commercial, and Theater productions with host and veteran entertainment mogul Versa Manos. Through our interviews with casting directors, managers, agents, actors, producers, publicists, writers, directors, and many other specialists we endeavor to shine a light on the inner workings of Hollywood and offer earnest advice.

This episode was originally recorded live in the VersaVision Clubhouse room on 2/16/24.
