I listen to it every morning getting ready for work, it releases between 6:00-6:30am Mon-Sat, and covers three big topics in about 12 minutes. Perfect for those looking to stay up-to-date without the time commitment.

This is my favorite news podcast. Three stories, every morning, in 13-ish minutes. Two hosts a day with great professional rapport and just a touch of good-natured humor once in a while. The stories are always presented with just the right amount of depth, expanding beyond the headlines to get into the details, either with reporters in the field, expert analysts from other NPR programs, or interviewed guests. The show makes for a good jumping-off point for the main headlines of the day. If you've got about 13-ish minutes, you can't go wrong with Up First.
