We continue our study in 2Thess. 2 verses 9-12 here on the Unchanging Word Bible broadcast. Dr. Mitchell explains these verses dealing with the power and activity of the man of sin as being energized by the devil, Satan himself, the god of this present evil age.

Dr. Mitchell points the truth found in 2Cor.4:4 that .."the god of this world, Satan, has blinded the minds of them that believe not, lest the glorious gospel of Christ should shine unto them."

The Apostle Paul writes that the deception during that time will lead people to not receive the love of the truth so as to be saved, but instead they believe the lie. These will be condemned because of they do not believe the truth.

God is true. (Jn.17:3, 1Jn.5:20)

The Word of God is the truth. (Jn. 17:17)

Jesus is the truth. (Jn.14:6)

The Holy Spirit is the truth. (1Jn.5:6,7,8)

The gospel is the truth. (Eph.1:13, Col.1:5)
