Our study in 1st Thessalonians chapter 4continues with verse 13.

Our study now brings us to the Divine revelation from the LORD to the apostlePaul. This revelation is couched in thepersonal need of hope about certain ones among the Thessalonian believers. This need, to which Paul responds, has to do with thequestion, "What will become of thosewho have died and been buried before theLord has returned"? What is their hope?Paul writes to them concerning this mysteryrevealed to him by the Lord Himself.This revelation is written in verses 13-18.

But today, Dr. Mitchell will give us a brief overview of the distinctions betweenthe Lord's coming for His own, the Church,and the Lord's coming to redeem Israel asa nation during the great tribulation andend the rule of the nations. Then the LordJesus will establish His Kingdom on earth in Jerusalem.
