It was not given hardly any media attention; In fact, if you were to google The Stranger of Lipari, you'll likely see only one news outlet from Italy cover the case. I've seen only one other post, on Reddit, on the web that covers this case. The man covered in this video spoke fluent English and likely is not from Italy. The island on which his body was discovered, is accessible only by boat or plane, therefore some record of the man traveling to the island must be accessible.
