Retirement: the proverbial carrot that we are all chasing. Our entire adult lives we are told how important preparing and saving for retirement is, because we need to be sure we are comfortable and happy when we finally decide to get out of the rat race. There is truth there, but the problem with blindly adopting this mindset is that, along the way, we too-often forget to enjoy life and be happy NOW. There seems to be an unspoken mentality that we can only be truly happy once retirement hits-which is painfully untrue-but it is obvious to us that our society overwhelmingly believes this.
