Steven Armstrong, M.A. Hum., M.A., M.Div., has been a student and practitioner of spirituality and Mysticism all his life. He is a professional historian, philosopher, and teacher based in the San Francisco Bay Area. After an undergraduate degree from Yale, he was Jesuit for 24 years, and was ordained in the Byzantine Greek Catholic Church. Having left that vocation, he joined the Rosicrucian Order, AMORC and the Traditional Martinist Order in San Jose CA. He has served in several ritual and administrative positions in the Order, and works at the Grand Lodge in San Jose CA in membership services, as well as assisting with the Order’s publications at times. His current areas of interest include how the Primordial Tradition permeates all world traditions, and the way in which the Rosicrucian and Martinist Paths provide a unique and unifying viewpoint on those traditions. He is the author of more than 30 published papers, articles and podcasts, and a lecturer for the Rose Croix University International.
