Our next episode is by an artist whose work is of huge significance to the history and progression of the Detroit techno sound; DJ 3000. Given the name '3000' by Mad Mike Banks and a member of the Undergeround Resistance/Submerge crew, he formed the now seminal Motech imprint in 2001. The label's back catalogue reads like a who's who of motor city techno, and his sounds merge the electronic rhythms reminiscent of his city with ethnic flavours from his parents' home country of Albania and beyond. At Tribal Pulse we absolutely love this coming together of influences, and we hope you enjoy the mix.
