6:12

So our entire story takes place in

6:15

Austin, Texas, where we currently live. So

6:17

way back in 1978, two

6:19

siblings, Bill and Julie Bryce, they

6:22

decided to open up a frozen yogurt shop

6:25

chain called I Can't Believe It's Yogurt. By

6:28

the way, I Can't Believe It's

6:30

Yogurt is the original inventor of

6:32

the fat-free and sugar-free

6:34

frozen yogurt, which

6:36

made them the leading pioneer

6:39

in the frozen yogurt business.

6:42

Now Bill and Julie wouldn't open up their

6:44

first yogurt shop in Austin, Texas. Instead,

6:46

they opened up the very first one about

6:49

three hours north of Austin in Dallas, Texas.

6:52

And by the way, I know everywhere else says they founded

6:54

it in 1977, but on the website in the

6:58

history, it says 1978. So

7:01

that's what we're going to go by. Alright,

7:03

so continuing on with the story, the

7:05

yogurt shop Bill and Julie opened

7:07

up in Dallas was doing pretty

7:09

well, and they decided that they

7:12

wanted to expand to the Austin

7:14

area. So after looking around

7:16

the area of Austin for a little while,

7:18

they came across an outdoor strip

7:21

mall located in North

7:23

Austin on West Anderson Lane.

7:26

Now this spot in the strip mall was

7:28

the prime location that Bill and Julie were

7:30

looking for. It had shopping centers,

7:33

malls, and a ton of traffic. So

7:35

after this shop opened up, it started

7:37

doing very well and everything seemed to

7:40

be going well for the shop, its

7:42

owners, and employees. However, that

7:44

would all change. On December

7:46

6, 1991, at around 4.30pm, 15-year-old Sarah Harbison had

7:49

arrived home from school and

7:56

was just chilling on the couch. A

7:58

short time later... Sarah's mother,

8:00

Barbara, she arrived home from work.

8:03

Sarah looked at her mother as she entered the door and

8:06

said, What's up, bitch? Can I go to the

8:08

mall with my friend Amy? Maybe

8:10

she didn't say what's up, bitch. But

8:13

Sarah did ask her mother if she

8:15

could go to the mall with her

8:17

friend Amy Iars, who at

8:19

the time was 13 years old. Also,

8:22

Sarah wanted to know if it was okay for

8:24

Amy to spend the night with them since

8:27

it was Friday and they didn't have

8:29

school tomorrow since it was Saturday. Duh.

8:32

A little side note, even though Sarah was 15

8:35

and Amy was only 13, they were

8:37

still pretty good friends. The both of them

8:39

had attended a school program called Future Farmers

8:41

of America, where they showed off their farm

8:43

animals at events. Goats,

8:45

pigs, cows, llamas,

8:48

iguanas, chikungunas, all

8:51

different types. Gunas. Yeah, mosquitoes, they

8:53

even had pet mosquitoes. Oh yeah, they get pretty

8:55

big around here. Anyways,

8:57

back to the story. So

9:00

like I previously mentioned, Sarah asked

9:02

her mom Barbara if her

9:04

friend Amy could go to the mall with her

9:06

and then spend the night that night. Sarah's

9:09

mom was like, yeah, I'm totally cool with it.

9:12

However, I want y'all to wait for your

9:14

sister Jennifer to get home so that she

9:16

can drive you to the mall since

9:18

her workplace is near it. Her

9:21

workplace being the yogurt shop. Also,

9:23

ride back home with your sister

9:26

Jennifer after she closes the

9:28

shop up for the night. So

9:30

there's something that we should mention. Sarah,

9:32

as you can tell, has an older sister named

9:35

Jennifer. Jennifer was 17 years old

9:37

and she worked at the, I can't believe it's

9:39

yogurt shop that was located near the mall. She

9:42

had been working there part time, saving up her money

9:44

so that she could buy a

9:46

navy blue Chevy S10 truck that

9:48

her father was helping her get, which

9:51

was cool. Why would she want a Chevy S10?

9:53

Was she gonna put like a 350 in it or

9:56

something and drag race it? I think

9:58

she was gonna use it like bull trailer and such. I

10:01

notice heaviest in what. Or.

10:03

Maybe she just wanted to pick up truck? Bow.

10:05

Or it. So. A short time later,

10:08

Jennifer ended up arriving back home

10:10

from school. And. She started to

10:12

get ready for work. A. Little while

10:14

later, at around five pm. Sarah.

10:17

Would get into Jennifer's car. And

10:19

together they would begin driving towards the

10:21

mall. On. Their way they would

10:24

stop at a nice house and pick her

10:26

up and continue driving to the mall. Eventually

10:28

they arrived at the mall. Jennifer.

10:31

Then dropped Sarah and Amy off. Afterwards,

10:34

Jennifer than heads towards the yogurt shop that

10:36

was located at Twenty Nine Forty Nine Wes

10:38

Anderson Lane. Be. I can't believe

10:40

it's yogurt shop! Jennifer.

10:42

Was scheduled to work until eleven Pm that

10:45

night with a coworker he lies or Thomas

10:47

who was also seventeen years old at the

10:49

time. Now just want to

10:51

state that this is the most use

10:53

timeline. But. There is another time that

10:56

says that. Before. Jennifer picked up

10:58

the two girls. You know, heading home

11:00

big enough sarah than leaving the go pick up a

11:02

me. She actually spent the afternoon

11:04

with her boyfriend. So. Wasn't

11:06

really. I guess Coming straight

11:08

home from school. So. That would

11:10

make sense. Seeing. That her sister.

11:13

Was home before her. Yeah. So.

11:16

She ended up leaving school going to her

11:18

boyfriends house. And then coming home afterwards, getting

11:20

ready for work and then. Leaving.

11:23

But. This timeline is that of them leave it at

11:25

like five. She would leave it in

11:27

a perceived wouldn't start until eight pm. So.

11:30

I don't know what's he would do between. Dropping.

11:32

Them off and. I guess waiting

11:35

he go to the mall. You. Hang

11:37

out with the natives, I. Guess

11:39

so. Yeah, We're. Not very social so

11:41

we'll do that now. We don't matter with the. I.

11:44

Dread. I dread going to the mall and

11:46

walking down it in. the people trying to

11:48

get you to sniff microloan are here A

11:51

let me see red your eyebrows is like

11:53

I've never threat of my eyebrows in my

11:55

life. Get away from me with your witchcraft.

11:57

I hear that hurts more than what the

11:59

waxing of the Ira I wouldn't know either.

12:02

The what I can't stand is the people

12:04

that offer you their clown. but no no

12:06

no no. Or. The wonder I

12:08

take them. Clean Your shoes. Let me clean your shoes

12:10

Know I like my shoes dirty. Dirty

12:13

to the gun, there's some hit. Thirty again. Yeah.

12:15

Leave me alone. I'm kicking ass. Quit harass me. You're

12:17

the reason why don't go out and public. Run.

12:20

Outside, get my current lease and I crown way

12:23

home and stop at Taco Bell for I want

12:25

to drop all the letters from the Taco on

12:27

my chest and Drake of Baja Blast. In

12:29

way. Or it's those. Get back to the

12:31

story. So. Jennifer and Eliza

12:34

would begin their work shift as

12:36

the yogurt shop. And.

12:38

It would operate as usual for

12:40

the next four to five hours.

12:43

Now. During that four to five hour work shift.

12:45

Is when Sarah and any would

12:48

arrive at the yogurt shop. Waiting

12:50

for Jennifer to close the shop.

12:53

And. Take them home. And.

12:55

Again, There. Are different variations

12:58

as to what happened here. Some.

13:00

Timeline says that Sarah and Amy were picked

13:02

up by Jennifer isn't taken back to the

13:04

over shop. Other say that Sarah

13:06

and Amy walked to the over shop from the mall.

13:08

Regardless, Both. Zero and Amy ended

13:11

up at the Ogres up after they were done at

13:13

the mall. Also. Another thing

13:15

that we know is that at around

13:17

ten pm that night, customers reported seeing

13:19

all four girls in the overshot before

13:21

the left. So. We at

13:23

least know at ten pm they were all

13:25

their. Yeah. And. We do

13:27

have a photograph of all four girls.

13:30

Amy, Jennifer, Sarah and Eliza.

13:33

And we will post that on our

13:35

website. Series of the third kind.com. Like.

13:37

On today's episode and all of the.

13:40

Documents. Photographs, worksheets, calculations,

13:42

geometry puzzles, nuclear calculations

13:45

of radio isotopes along

13:47

with their path lice.

13:50

All of that information will be posted for everyone to take a

13:52

look at. Nice. Or

13:54

it's so continuing on with the story. The.

13:57

Very last people. To. See

13:59

the girls. Before the shop was

14:01

closed. Work. Customers leaving

14:03

the yogurt shop at around

14:05

in forty two pm. They

14:08

reported seeing all four girls in the

14:10

shop. Also. It

14:13

was reported that to on

14:15

identified males had remained in

14:17

the shop. After those customers

14:19

left. However, We will go

14:21

more in depth in the that during our

14:24

strange backs and findings. Suggest. Take

14:26

that stick at the back your mind and will come

14:28

back to it. Or it. So.

14:30

Now we fast forward to Eleven forty

14:32

seven pm. At. That time awesome

14:34

Police officer Troy Gay was on patrol

14:37

Romney North Austin area. And

14:39

that is when he saw the i can't believe

14:41

it's yogurt shop on fire. Off.

14:43

The Troy would report the fire to the

14:46

dispatcher. Awesome! Police and fire departments

14:48

will show up on the scene and were

14:50

able to put the fire out at around

14:52

midnight of December seventh. So. They were.

14:54

They are pretty quick and it didn't take along

14:56

with the fire out less than ten minutes. Yeah,

14:59

Okay, So. After the

15:01

fire was put out, the fire

15:03

department started going through the shop

15:05

to assess the fire damage. And

15:07

to determine hey, what was the cause of

15:09

the fire. That is when

15:12

they discovered the bodies of the

15:14

for teenage girls. They.

15:16

Would find to the girls Sarah

15:18

and Eliza. With their

15:20

hands bound behind their backs.

15:22

completely nude. They would

15:25

then find Jennifer. Right beside

15:27

them. completely nude with their hands

15:29

behind her back. But. They

15:31

were not bound. The. Teenage

15:33

girls bodies were caught in the

15:35

fire and were completely charge, barely

15:37

recognizable. Amy. Was found further

15:39

away from the others with a cloth

15:41

item wrapped around her neck. In about

15:43

thirty percent of her body covered in

15:45

second degree burns and she was nude.

15:48

Now. At the time, the investigating officials

15:50

believed that all of the girls were

15:52

stacked on to each other in the

15:55

very back of the shop after being

15:57

shot in the head. However,

15:59

Amy They did not die from

16:01

the initial shooting. She. Was

16:04

able to crawl away from the others. Before.

16:06

The individual who. Was.

16:09

Doing this crime. Spotted.

16:12

Are crawling away and then shot

16:14

her in the head again. Now.

16:17

We have an image of the layout of

16:19

the store with where they found the girls'

16:21

bodies which was made by the police. If

16:24

you look easy the where the left side of

16:26

the fry where you get the lab on i

16:28

guess not. Lobby the dining area. Then.

16:30

He got the counter and then you see the interested

16:32

a back room in the first party that they would

16:34

seem. Were. Been Amy's. And

16:36

then they were set. found the other three.

16:39

But. If they came to the back they would have found all

16:41

three girls and they would have to travel. Up

16:43

towards the middle part to find a me. That's.

16:46

True. The. Back door was

16:48

mostly open. And weird. So.

16:51

We'll have that diagram up on our website with

16:53

the rest of the photographs from today's episode. So.

16:56

That right, There is pretty much a summary

16:58

of what happened on the night of December.

17:00

Six. Ninety Ninety One. At

17:03

the i can't believe it's yogurt shop

17:05

in Austin, Texas. However,

17:07

That is just the beginning because

17:10

the meat of our episode is

17:12

the investigation. And. This is where

17:14

it gets weird. Or it.

17:16

It's now December ninth. Three. Days since

17:18

the horrible murders at the yogurt shop. And.

17:21

This is when the police would release the

17:23

first ongoing report about what occurred. As.

17:25

The police searched through the burnt part of

17:27

the building and examined the bodies. They.

17:30

Reported that there was evidence of

17:32

multiple people involved in what they

17:34

are now considering a robbery homicide.

17:36

The. Police then went on to state

17:39

that there was no evidence of

17:41

forced entry into the shop from

17:43

the front. That. The door

17:45

was locked from the inside. However,

17:48

The back door was open.

17:50

And. That is where the or. Three.

17:53

Girls were found was near the back

17:55

door and in amy was down thrown

17:57

away. So. The

17:59

police stated that. This meant that

18:01

whoever the perpetrators were, they

18:03

were already inside before the

18:05

doors were locked. Preventing.

18:08

Any more customers from coming in? And

18:10

leaving out the back door. After

18:13

the doors were locked. The. Perps would

18:15

then attack and tie up the girls using

18:17

their own clothing and whatever else they could

18:19

find in the shop to bind their hands

18:21

behind their backs. Now. The police

18:23

will go on to say that at least one

18:25

of the girls was sexually assaulted. And. That

18:27

they were only able to find very little

18:29

dna. When. They went for the

18:32

sexual assault us. Still

18:34

very little the a seem like it be

18:36

enough. Anyway, There

18:38

for back then. Near. The

18:41

police would go on to say that

18:43

they believe that all the girls were

18:45

killed by a twenty two caliber gun.

18:48

Before the fire was started.

18:51

However, amy. Who. Was

18:53

found crawling away from the others.

18:55

Was. Shot not only with the twenty two

18:57

caliber gun. In. The head. But.

18:59

With the three eighty as well. So.

19:02

Following that. There were

19:05

autopsies that were performed on

19:07

the bodies, however, The. Details

19:09

of those autopsies. Were.

19:11

Sealed and not released to the

19:13

public. And the spoiler

19:16

alert. To this day they

19:18

are still sealed. Yet.

19:21

The. Next day on the tenth. A. Funeral services

19:23

were held for the girls. And

19:25

to show support for the families of the girls.

19:28

Over. Fifteen hundred off the nights.

19:30

Yeah. They all showed up for the

19:32

funeral, showing support. Now.

19:34

With that happening. With. This many

19:36

people showing up to show support for

19:38

the family. They. Ended up putting

19:41

pressure on the Austin Pd to get on the

19:43

ball and figure out who the hell did this.

19:46

So. On December twelve. Two

19:48

days after. The. Funeral

19:50

services. The. State District

19:52

Judge John Whizzer. Decided.

19:55

To seal be autopsy reports

19:57

of the girls in order

19:59

to sustain the evidence is

20:01

confidentiality. And. Protect the

20:03

ongoing investigation. Now.

20:06

When. I read that at the time. I thought

20:08

was like okay, didn't really have much to go on. With.

20:11

The bodies been charged in there like that. But.

20:14

Supposedly the more I read up on it.

20:16

The. Judge did this. so when they

20:18

did find suspects, The.

20:20

Information from these autopsies worn out an

20:23

open so no one could like try

20:25

to change their story or anything like

20:27

that until. After. Suspects were

20:29

actually arrested. Okay with other guy, that

20:31

kind of makes sense a little bit. Yeah

20:34

so. Two days later, On

20:36

December fourteenth, At. The

20:39

North Cross small a young

20:41

juvenile mail named Maurice Pierce.

20:44

He. Was brought into the police station.

20:46

For. Possession of a twenty two

20:49

caliber handgun along with ammo.

20:52

Now. Once he was brought in. The

20:54

Austin Police Detective Hector Polanco.

20:57

He. Started questioning Maurice because

20:59

hey. You. Have a

21:01

twenty two caliber handgun in your possession

21:03

in guess what was used in the

21:05

Yogurt Shop murders not too long ago.

21:08

A twenty two caliber handgun

21:10

was the You Maurice. That's.

21:12

What actresses? And. After

21:14

hours of questioning, Maryse would eventually

21:16

tell Blanco that a friend of

21:19

his dame Force wellborn. Had

21:21

borrowed is gone. And. Use that

21:23

to murder the for girls. Now.

21:25

You would think that this will be considered

21:27

a big lead. yeah some I just finished

21:29

on. Somebody is like he's a solve the

21:31

case for us it. Way to go Maurice!

21:34

What? The Austin Pd didn't go with his confession

21:36

yet. They. Actually, just like air, You know

21:38

what? Will. Will check this

21:41

out later. Put in your back pocket and

21:43

keep it for another time. Sounds.

21:45

Very weird. But. I guess it's kind

21:47

of makes sense you know here Little. Okay,

21:50

Or it. So we fast forward nine

21:53

days later to December twenty third.

21:55

A couple ended up coming forward

21:57

and the actually confessed. They said

21:59

hey. We. Are the ones that

22:02

robbed and murdered those four teenage

22:04

girls? And that yogurt shop. The.

22:06

Austin Pd was like. With

22:08

the here. With. A was easy.

22:11

Sit. On turn themselves in in they confessed.

22:14

And. Litter. That. Excitement was

22:17

short lived. It turns

22:19

out that the couple. Days

22:21

a false confession. To. The

22:23

yogurt Shop murders. Which. Didn't.

22:26

Really make sense and the only reason

22:28

the that people say that they did

22:30

it was for notoriety. Mix.

22:33

Of as me or maybe they were set up until

22:35

they you gotta go confess to it. You

22:37

know, That. Could be it because. The

22:40

Austin Pd ended up removing pulling co.

22:42

The. One that was questing Maurice the detective yet

22:45

up. On. March Twenty Third, Ninety Nine

22:47

to. From. The case of the overshot

22:49

murders. Because. Of his ways

22:51

of interrogating suspects Woody Water boredom.

22:54

Know. He does had a way of coercing them.

22:57

Into giving false confessions. Just.

23:00

So he's close cases faster.

23:02

Jesus. Lock. Him up and

23:04

likes. Yeah, I wonder how many

23:06

innocent people he's probably locked away from Iowa.

23:09

So. Following that, the Austin Police Department

23:12

had very few leads to go

23:14

on. And it would be months

23:16

till the actually made a move again

23:18

in August of Nineteen Ninety Two. Austin.

23:21

Police began searching for three

23:23

men who had been indicted

23:26

in a totally unrelated. Abduction

23:29

and sexual assault case.

23:32

The. Police said hey, we just want to bring him

23:34

in. And we just want to question

23:36

him about the yogurt shop murders. That's all. We.

23:39

Want to ask you questions? We just want to see if

23:41

they did it you know he no big deal. If.

23:44

Well. It wasn't until two

23:46

months later, That. Will go by

23:48

making it October. And the

23:50

Mexican authorities announced that they have found and

23:53

arrested two other men that the Austin Pd

23:55

were looking for. The. Mexican authorities

23:57

started saying they would be charged with the

23:59

awesome job. Shop Murders. After

24:01

supposedly wanted them confess to doing it.

24:04

So. The original three men that

24:06

the police were looking for. In

24:09

August, they were actually found in Mexico. Two

24:11

of them were found to Mexico. okay. Very.

24:14

Know. Before we get into that we are going

24:17

to take a quick break and will be right

27:17

Theories. Are.

27:19

Welcome back! So. After

27:21

the Mexican authorities stated that hey,

27:23

we got one of them to

27:25

confess. A really good

27:28

matter because the confession was later

27:30

recanted and the the suspect that

27:32

confessed. Accused Mexico's officials

27:35

have torturing him. For.

27:37

The concession speech. It's.

27:41

So. That lead. Pretty.

27:43

Much fell through. And.

27:45

Then following that. This

27:48

case would go cold.

27:50

For. Seven years.

27:53

He. Now during those

27:55

seven years, a new Detective

27:58

Detective Paul Johnson. He.

28:00

Would be assigned to the cold Case. Around

28:02

the nineteen ninety Six to Ninety ninety

28:05

seven time. Now.

28:07

In September of Ninety Ninety Nine, be

28:09

awesome. Pd would bring in one a

28:11

Maurice's acquaintances named Michael Scott. And.

28:14

They will bring were multiple times interrogating him

28:16

for over a total of twenty hours Now

28:18

hold on, Who's Murray's again? you got to

28:20

remind me is the one that they. Brought

28:22

in because he had a twenty two caliber. Gun.

28:25

Oh, that was on December Fourteen. Like

28:27

a few days afterwards. Yep, okay and

28:29

Detective Hector. Along. Co was the one

28:31

is like you use doom you used them yet

28:33

it was you use it was you're gonna murder

28:35

those girls It wasn't Yeah Murray said hey know

28:37

it was my for enforce I gave him the

28:39

gun and he murdered on and then they never

28:41

did anything with that information. They. Are. So

28:44

they ended up bringing in. Murray says. Pretty.

28:46

Much Acquaintance: Michael Scott. Multiple.

28:49

Times. And interrogated him for over

28:51

twenty hours. Yup, now was it Michael Scott

28:53

from the office. Know Okay, Is

28:55

got me back with. A shadow know I don't know

28:57

his background amount of been him. Never. Know

29:00

it didn't hit the was. Now.

29:02

Scott though would actually confessed to playing a

29:04

role in the murder of the for teenage

29:07

girls. Even though he said it

29:09

was originally supposed to be a robbery

29:11

because peers needed money. Maurice Pierce Okay,

29:14

So. A couple days later, Austin.

29:16

Police Department would bring in another

29:19

one of Murray says acquaintances. The

29:22

police would have to travel all the

29:24

way to Charleston, West Virginia. Which.

29:26

Is where Robert Springsteen the for.

29:29

Was. Located at. Now. Robert

29:31

would be interrogated for about five

29:33

hours. Saying. That hey. I

29:35

was never within one hundred yards that yogurt

29:37

sap when those murders happened. What are you

29:40

talking about? However, Austin.

29:43

Police department kept questioning him over

29:45

and over. Until he finally gave

29:47

in. A. Minute to raping

29:49

Amy Ayers. And. Then helped

29:52

kill the others. Now.

29:54

wouldn't be so october nineteen ninety nine that

29:56

the awesome police cold case you decided to

29:58

act upon the evidence that came from Maurice

30:01

with the assistance of Judge Mike Lynch.

30:04

Judge Lynch would sign the arrest warrants

30:07

and the police finally made their first

30:09

actual arrests in this case. They

30:12

arrested Maurice Pierce, Forest

30:14

Wellborn, Robert Springsteen IV,

30:16

and Michael Scott on capital murder

30:19

charges on October 6, 1999. And

30:22

here we have a photo of all four guys

30:24

who were arrested. Now tell me,

30:27

why does the bottom left guy, Michael

30:31

Scott, look exactly like

30:34

Triple H? He

30:36

looks exactly like Triple H, the

30:39

wrestler, that is, if y'all don't know who that is. Anyway,

30:42

I was envisioning these individuals to look completely

30:44

different. You got Macaulay Culkin in the upper

30:46

left, you got the friggin' guy

30:48

who played on the Project X in the

30:51

upper right, that Dexter Flame guy.

30:53

Bottom left, you got a kid, Triple H,

30:56

and then on the bottom right, you have a f***in'

30:59

squirrel. That's what he looks like. That kid

31:02

looks like a squirrel. Sorry, he does. He

31:04

looks like a squirrel to me. That's

31:07

not what I expected for them to look like.

31:09

No. They're young.

31:11

And you got to think, this was 1999 when

31:13

they actually got arrested. So eight years ago was

31:15

1991. At the

31:17

time, they were all juveniles. So

31:20

they were all under 18, this happens to be like 17 years old. So

31:24

now they're all adults. Okay. So

31:27

shortly after their arrest, the police

31:29

would announce that Robert Springsteen and

31:32

Michael Scott, hey, they

31:34

ended up confessing to the killing of

31:36

the four girls. This

31:39

led the mayor back then, Kirk

31:41

Watson, to say, and we quote,

31:44

on December 6, 1991, we

31:48

as a city lost our

31:50

innocence. Today we

31:53

regain our confidence. End

31:56

quote. So a short time

31:58

later, Robert Springsteen and Michael Scott.

32:00

They both tried to recant their

32:03

confessions. They. Stated that the detectives

32:05

pretty much coheres them during when he

32:07

interrogations and they were just tired of

32:09

it and they're like the for just.

32:11

We just confessed because we're tired. They.

32:13

Just kept asking us over and over and over.

32:16

The. Just imagine though, twenty hours of being

32:19

interrogated. So. Here's a trick for you. And

32:21

I want everyone to listen. Pay

32:23

if you get brought in for

32:25

questioning by the police. And

32:28

the one I wouldn't say anything because of

32:30

the bringing you in. They. Already

32:32

suspect something. Number two: If they try to hand

32:34

you anything, they try to hand you a piece

32:36

of paper. They try to hands you a

32:38

cup. he tried a hand you anything at all. Do.

32:40

Not touch it. Don't. Touch

32:43

it. Don't touch anything. Fingerprints, hands in

32:45

your pocket. Yes. They. Will try to give

32:47

you a cop. They. Will try to give you tissue

32:49

paper. You try to give you a piece of paper.

32:51

After you handle it and you leave, they'll take

32:54

it to take your coat in, the run, your

32:56

fingerprints on. It do. Not touch

32:58

anything. Asked. For an attorney

33:00

and say a macintosh. Because.

33:02

Regardless, if you're innocent or not, they are

33:04

going to interrogate you and they already think

33:06

they have something on you. It is your

33:08

best bet. The habit and tourney represent

33:10

you so you don't get stuck like these

33:13

kids did. He. Up. In.

33:15

The marine. Wise. Advice:

33:18

Yes, I. Know. On.

33:20

December Six, Ninety Nine Nine. December

33:22

Six, Ninety Nine. And that was exactly

33:24

eight years after the. Murders.

33:26

Yep! A. Judge ruled that maurice

33:29

peers and force wellborn. While.

33:31

During the murders and Ninety Ninety one, they were

33:33

sixteen and fifteen at the time. They.

33:36

Could a might be tried as

33:38

adults now. Which. I

33:41

guess guzzling the time of the crime they can

33:43

only be towards the juveniles. but then there's a

33:45

while you're an adult now. These. Crimes

33:47

or a heinous so I guess without charge

33:49

you as adults and. Then. December fourteenth:

33:51

The Travis County Grand Jury indicted Robert

33:54

Springsteen the fourth on four counts of

33:56

capital murder. With. District Attorney Ronnie

33:58

url steam that see. The will seek

34:00

the death penalty for him. So.

34:02

Four days later, on December eighteen,

34:05

Nineteen. Ninety Nine. The. Grand

34:07

Jury than in Maurice Pearce

34:09

and Michael Scott on four

34:11

counts of capital murder. With.

34:14

The prosecutors stating that they are

34:16

going to seek. The Death Penalty

34:18

for Michael Scott. But. Not.

34:21

Maurice. Pierce since he was a

34:23

juvenile at the time. The.

34:25

Following that, the case would continue

34:27

on until June of two thousand.

34:30

Were. A judge would actually dismiss

34:33

the capital murder charges. Against

34:35

force wellborn. After a

34:37

second grand jury. Declined to

34:40

indict him. In pretty much

34:42

that, set him free. Of all

34:44

the charges and everything. Now.

34:47

There was also no physical evidence linking

34:49

any of the men to the crime

34:51

at all. The. Ballistics

34:53

tests done in two thousand. On.

34:55

Pierce's twenty two caliber gun had shown that

34:57

it was not used in the murder of

34:59

the girls. So. Right caliber,

35:02

not the right done. Added

35:04

know that they could tell that. Yeah.

35:06

So they pretty much it's the barrel

35:08

inside of the barrel gun. When.

35:11

It's buyers it. Leaves groove in

35:13

the bullet itself when it's traveling

35:15

through it. So. What they do is

35:17

like when you see like those shows where they fired

35:19

fired the gun again. They take that.

35:21

Bullet. That they have shot and they

35:23

compared to the other one. Damn.

35:26

I didn't even think about that. I feel so dumb. Yeah.

35:29

Oh. Thank you for that knowledge. Know. You're. Welcome.

35:32

Now. Even though they are

35:34

no physical evidence linking the men to.

35:37

This. Guy Murder. None.

35:39

Of that mattered. The. Judge still

35:41

found Springsteen and Scott. Both

35:43

guilty, with their confession being the main

35:46

piece of evidence to this case. Wow.

35:49

So. Robert Springsteen. Was sent

35:51

to death row in two thousand and

35:53

one. And. One

35:55

year later, in two thousand and

35:57

two, Michael Scott was sentenced to

35:59

eight. Life term in prison. I.

36:02

Hate it when they do. You.

36:04

Are since two six hundred and eighty

36:07

four years in prison. With.

36:09

Fifty. More years additional on that one

36:12

of the people in Wizards. The

36:14

going on with the be a thousand It

36:16

doesn't make any sense whatsoever. And I

36:18

get. So. Like the and mentioned earlier. Springsteen.

36:21

And Scots confessions where the

36:23

main pretty much evidence of

36:25

the case that brought the

36:27

convictions upon them. However,

36:30

Their confessions would also

36:33

become be centerpiece. To

36:35

their appeals. That

36:37

would eventually overturn. Their

36:40

convictions. So. What brought

36:42

him down? Brought. Him out of it.

36:45

That's right, The. Following year after that

36:47

in January of two thousand three. Maurice.

36:49

Pierce's charges were dismissed and he was

36:51

released from jail. Now. It

36:53

would seem like they were close to finally closing

36:56

the case, getting at least two of the four

36:58

guys that. They. Believed killed and

37:00

sexually assaulted The For Girls

37:02

yes, Springsteen and got it.

37:04

However, That. Would only last for a

37:06

few years. So. In May of two

37:09

thousand and six. I. Graduated from high

37:11

school. So. Following that.

37:14

That. Same month and year. Did

37:16

Texas Court of Criminal Appeals. Throughout.

37:19

Robert Springsteen Conviction.

37:21

Saying. That Michael Scott's written

37:24

confession. Was. In

37:26

properly used against Springsteen.

37:29

Sending. The taste, To.

37:31

Travis County. Now.

37:33

With that happening. Can. You guess

37:36

what happens next? Well.

37:38

In June of two thousand and six. The.

37:40

Same exact thing would happen for Michael

37:43

Scott's conviction. Where. The Texas Court

37:45

of Criminal Appeals would throw it out. They.

37:48

Ruled that Robert springs things the

37:50

fourth confession was improperly use against

37:52

Michael Scott as well. So.

37:54

At this point the prosecutors were like

37:56

see it. We. Need to get

37:58

our shit together guys. In look,

38:00

we got the city breathing down our

38:02

necks. Okay, without an election coming up,

38:04

I want to get reelected. You won't

38:07

get reelected. The. Without a convict somebody

38:09

shit they're innocent or not gonna come pick

38:11

them. Now. I'm

38:13

not saying that's what they said. Don't. Quote me

38:15

on that. I'm just saying. It's.

38:18

My interpretation. And.

38:20

It probably happen that way. So.

38:24

The prosecutors were like hey, we

38:26

have to retry both Michael Scott

38:28

and Robert Springsteen. And

38:31

which they did. And both of

38:33

them would stay in jail for

38:36

another three years. And.

38:38

That's when the prosecutors moved for

38:40

another trial delay. Which. Led

38:42

the judge to order the both of

38:44

them released from jail on bond. As.

38:47

Long as they didn't try to flee like hey,

38:49

look. Prosecutors. You can, you

38:51

can keep milk unicef. We. Know you're not ready.

38:54

And we don't want to keep these individuals in jail. We're.

38:56

Going to allow them to post bond. But. If

38:58

you guys fully. Were. Coming to get you. The.

39:02

Four. Months would go by. And. The

39:04

prosecutors were back in court. That

39:06

it wasn't to read try the two of

39:09

them for capital murder charges as in Robert

39:11

Springsteen and Michael Scott. Correct. This.

39:13

I'm in court. The prosecutors were there

39:15

to formally dropped the charges against the

39:17

two men. Michael. Scott and

39:20

Rubber Springsteen. Because.

39:22

Of lack of evidence. That's

39:24

why the prosecutors are dragged on for so

39:26

long. say we're trying to find something but

39:28

yet. Nothing they're not. They should

39:31

be jailed for three years. So.

39:33

With the advancement of technology. New

39:36

tests found Dna on

39:39

several crime scene samples.

39:42

Now all those new samples. None.

39:44

Of them were linked to Robert

39:46

Springsteen. Michael Scott Murray's

39:48

peers are forced, wellborn, And.

39:51

All for them are like see. We told you

39:53

so. We. Didn't use the gun that you

39:55

thought we did. We do none of this our

39:57

dna that they're. Told you we're just kitten.

40:00

Yeah. You made us a myth that we did

40:02

it. We. Don't know what the hell actually

40:04

happened. Yeah, We're. The new

40:06

Dna that they found belong to an

40:08

unknown male subject. Which. Was also

40:11

found on one of the Harvest and Sisters later

40:13

on in Two Thousand and Nine. So.

40:15

The Dna that was found at the

40:17

crime scene was that of an unknown

40:19

male subjects. Yeah. And that

40:21

same Dna at the crime scene

40:24

was also the same Dna that

40:26

was found on the sexually assaulted

40:28

girl. At the crime scene. On

40:30

another one. So. This is where it kind of. With.

40:33

Autopsies been sealed, You. Don't

40:35

really know which one was sexually

40:37

assaulted. Or. If model

40:39

okay, but at least. The.

40:42

Dna of that individual was also found

40:44

on and least one of the girls

40:46

correct. So. This

40:48

dna. They. Ended up trying to

40:50

match it to all the suspects

40:52

that they'd questions about the years.

40:55

Even. Be forensic officers or medical personnel

40:57

who could have dealt with the corpses at

40:59

any time they were tested. Do they were

41:01

not hold back the mayor he was brought

41:04

him and when they went to his house.

41:06

The friggin' wife was like like he's been dead for like

41:08

five years or like we don't care months to come up.

41:10

The dogma that is. The and I guess what? he wasn't

41:12

the culprit. Wife. Was best though cause

41:15

had to him. But. It. Map.

41:17

Anyway, So the two men

41:19

Robert Springsteen and Michael Scott ended

41:22

up walking out of the courthouse

41:24

as free men. And

41:26

the case of the Nineteen

41:28

Ninety One Austen Yogurt Shop

41:30

murders. To. This day it

41:33

is and Saul. There.

41:35

Is a killer or killers? or

41:37

more than one? Run around Austin,

41:39

Texas and we live here. How.

41:41

Scared them. Off. The

41:44

phone will go into yogurt shop. I think. we're okay. there's

41:46

one right down the street. Of sit

41:48

and if that easy be I've been there.

41:51

A. Thought about others. walk in go Heard. About it.

41:53

What happened at Yogurt Shop Ninety Nine One. Is

41:55

is. I can't believe it's yogurt. Now it's

41:57

not okay. We're safe. Or.

42:00

So there you have it. That

42:02

is the story, the investigation, and

42:04

the trial. Dealing with the

42:07

Ninety Ninety One Austin Yogurt Shop

42:09

murders. For. Just like every

42:11

week, The. Episode Does Not Stop

42:13

Here. Because. As we

42:15

were researching this topic, we ended

42:18

up coming across additional. Odd

42:20

information. Which. We're now going

42:23

to get into. During our strange

42:25

facts and findings. Sudan.

42:27

Would you like to start that offers of

42:29

course. Surfer. Strange factor

42:31

funny is about the unknown Dna that

42:34

they discovered. With. The newly

42:36

discovered Dna found on to of the girls

42:38

at least. This. Gay families

42:40

new open finding be killer or killers.

42:43

In. Two thousand and seventeen Police Detective

42:45

J. Swan was looking to the case

42:47

again. And. Learned about an

42:49

array of online databases containing Dna

42:52

profiles. Now these databases

42:54

are quite interesting. They.

42:56

Only contain male only

42:58

Why Str sample. Like.

43:01

The one investigators had identified in

43:03

the yogurt shop. And. Set

43:05

databases ran by nothing but women.

43:08

For. Their anti males. Now.

43:10

It was the National Center

43:12

of Forensic Science at the

43:15

University of Central Florida that

43:17

operates the United States Is

43:19

Y S P R database.

43:22

Now if you don't know what why Str

43:24

means. Don't feel bad. I

43:26

had no clue. I have no clue

43:28

what it is. Tell me what it

43:30

is then oh why? s means y

43:32

chromosome sort tandem repeat. It's. A

43:34

marker found on male y

43:36

chromosomes. So. It helps to

43:38

identify. People. Males. Cool.

43:42

Yeah. So. This why

43:44

Str database supposedly contains

43:46

twenty nine thousand samples.

43:49

For. Population research supposedly.

43:52

And the website for this states that

43:54

it has samples from government. Commercial.

43:57

In academic resources. Throughout.

43:59

The United. States and offer in

44:01

the laboratories. And institutions

44:04

are invited to contribute. Basically.

44:07

Summit. All your samples were collected. All

44:10

of it. If you go

44:12

look at the website for this way as

44:14

the our database. They. Have a

44:16

disclaimer: Saying. That it does

44:18

not function as a law enforcement database

44:21

and cannot be used to identify a

44:23

particular individuals who sample isn't the database?

44:26

All. Donors are anonymous and samples

44:28

cannot be traced back to specific

44:31

individuals. Who. What good is

44:33

a database? then? God. Day.

44:36

So. That's when detectives swans had the exact same

44:38

thing I say. they will. What good is it?

44:41

And he's like, you know what? Screw it. Let's.

44:43

Run it. And. See if there's a match

44:45

anyway? So. He entered the profile

44:47

that had been developed by a private

44:49

lab in Virginia about ten years ago.

44:52

And. You know what? He. Actually got

44:54

a if. There was

44:56

a match. Now

44:58

before we get into that, we're going to take

45:00

a quick break. the zebra last one so don't

45:02

go nowhere. I. Welcome.

45:05

Back. Now. Detect a swan

45:07

Contact a Prosecutor Fuente. And First

45:09

Assistant District Attorney Mindy Month Bird. And.

45:12

They sent a grand jury subpoena to

45:14

the University of Central Florida on March

45:16

nine. Two thousand and seventeen. The.

45:18

Subpoena requested information about who

45:20

uploaded the matching profile. And.

45:23

Days later, The. All

45:25

learned who had submitted the sample. A.

45:27

Forensic analyst. From. The

45:29

F B I. Saw. This point

45:31

everyone's like oh hell yeah, the sci is

45:33

going to help us. Solve.

45:35

This case. However,

45:38

The. As the I was like a no, we're not

45:41

now we're not going to help you solve it. They.

45:43

Cited a Nineteen Ninety Four Federal

45:46

law that created a national. Forensics

45:49

database. That. Law

45:51

enforcement officials use or

45:53

investigation. Now. That law

45:55

required officials to protect the

45:57

identity of anonymous donors. The

46:00

Dna was submitted to the floor

46:02

the database. Or. Population

46:04

Research. So. That's what they

46:06

sided. Then. The F B

46:08

I scientists said that. Unlike traditional

46:11

Dna that confirms a person's

46:13

identity. Thousands. Of men

46:15

could have the same mail profile as

46:17

the once one found. So.

46:19

It would be nearly impossible to

46:21

use the information to identify a

46:23

single individual. It. Would be like

46:26

looking for a needle in a haystack. So.

46:29

When they say that the learned

46:31

that the matching profile. That.

46:33

Got matched. That. Sample had

46:36

been submitted by an

46:38

analyst. At the F B I. The.

46:40

F B I guy got a sample from somebody so

46:42

it was a him there was that him it would

46:44

on buddy that he. Got. A sample

46:46

from okay, So. Like

46:49

the and previously mentioned. The.

46:51

F B. I was like look it could be anybody,

46:53

it's gonna be a. Needle. In a

46:55

haystack. And. Even the

46:57

United States Representative Michael Mccaul. He wrote

46:59

the as the i you know and

47:01

use like look. Can. You please

47:04

release the information. F B.

47:06

I was like that who are you on Parker? We

47:08

don't know You. So. Following that

47:10

a few years later, in Twenty

47:12

Twenty. That is when the

47:14

As Yeah I finally decided to

47:16

corroborate with the Austin Police Department.

47:19

And. We do have part of the letter.

47:21

That. The As the I had

47:23

sent to the United States Representative

47:25

Michael Mccaul. Supremacist.

47:27

Letter indicates that the Dna samples

47:29

that the Awesome Pt submitted. Were.

47:32

Unfortunately determined not to be a

47:34

match after the F B I

47:36

got the Dna profile from Swan.

47:39

Ran. Into the system to testing and

47:41

they determined in the early twenty twenty.

47:44

That there. Was no match. There. Was nothing.

47:47

That be I was like they're we ran a for

47:49

you, There's no match. Sorry. And

47:52

that is pretty much. The

47:54

end of our first strange fact, I'm finding.

47:57

That. And. The end of the

47:59

li. The. Board. The Dna

48:01

samples. Even know that.

48:04

It could a mass would like multiple people. I.

48:06

Know is kind a like a are. Ya.

48:08

It's gone against their that law to keep

48:11

them anonymous herself and her, but if you

48:13

had that list of people with these profiles

48:15

matching it. You could have like. Check

48:17

to see who was in that area. Code.

48:19

A narrow it down some. yeah. But.

48:22

The. F B I wouldn't release. There's a, there's

48:24

a move. Okay, we'll check it ourselves. At.

48:27

You. Know what? There's a match. That's what

48:29

I find like really sketchy. Yeah, it's weird. Or

48:32

right. So let's continue on to

48:34

our next strange fact and finding which

48:36

is about Murray's Pierce. Who.

48:39

Was of course. The. Individual

48:41

who was. Taken

48:43

in for questioning the few days after.

48:46

The murders took place in he was the

48:48

individual who had the twenty two in his

48:50

possession and he snatched on his friend for

48:53

since that know I came into force and

48:55

he did it. Anyway, So

48:57

after Maurice was finally cleared

49:00

of all the charges, But

49:03

having spent three years in jail for the

49:05

murder of the for teenage girls. After

49:08

his release, he seemed to start

49:10

having issues with the police. Now.

49:14

If. He was innocent this entire time. Mean.

49:17

We can definitely see his worry when it

49:19

comes to the police, right in his caution

49:21

and his miss trust in the justice system.

49:24

I. Mean you have a detective? Blanco.

49:27

Who. Pretty much. Forced. The Confession.

49:30

Out. Of I'm in. It. Was by the

49:32

totally false confession. Yeah. Well.

49:34

Unfortunately though, Murray. Said multiple

49:36

run ins with the police. And.

49:39

Every time that he had an issue with

49:41

i'm. The just autumn he would run

49:43

away. They would chase. I'm. Pretty.

49:46

Much rest on and it was just like a rinse repeat

49:48

thing. Is last run in with

49:50

the police was in two thousand and ten. Which.

49:53

This was like his third encounter since two thousand

49:55

and eight with them. But this.

49:57

Time. Instead. Of being call in or.

50:00

He decided to fight back. yeah, he squared

50:02

up with a missive am tired. You.

50:05

You guys have me locked up for three years like an

50:07

animal. I'm. A square up with the now. So.

50:09

During this altercation with the police.

50:12

In two thousand and ten he ended up

50:14

fighting with the police officer. And. During

50:16

their fight he did up stealing the

50:18

police officers knife in his started swing

50:21

in and slashing at the officers trachea.

50:23

The officer acted in self defense.

50:26

Was able to all his gun out of his

50:28

holster. In. Shoot Maurice.

50:31

Maurice. Was shot dead in the

50:33

officer suffered life threatening injuries. And.

50:35

Was rushed to the St. David Round Rock Medical

50:37

Center. Where. They were able to

50:40

stabilize and save the officers life. And

50:42

he was able to make a full recovery. Who. Had

50:44

surgery at St. David's. You.

50:47

Did I had emergency surgery? Their

50:49

appendix n? Or better yet, In

50:51

June or July of last year and. In

50:54

January this year. New. To

50:56

surgery baby. Or. It's let's get onto

50:58

our next strange fact and finding. So.

51:00

Or strange fact in finding is

51:02

about Kenneth Macduff. So.

51:04

Kinda had killed a total of

51:06

nine people. In was

51:08

initially in prison for raping

51:10

and killing three teenagers in

51:13

nineteen Sixty six. Even.

51:15

Though he was a horrible individual

51:17

who deserved to ride the lightning.

51:19

Somehow. He. Was paroled.

51:22

In Nineteen Eighty Nine. And.

51:25

It was supposedly due

51:27

to overcrowding in Texas

51:29

prisons. Out

51:31

of everybody they choose to release.

51:34

somehow he was selected and it

51:36

was bad because after he was

51:38

released. He. Ended up

51:40

continuing his killing spree. Thankfully.

51:43

Though he was caught in Nineteen Ninety

51:46

Two again in Kansas City. After

51:48

he was profiled on America's Most Wanted

51:50

or is Killing Spree. Or

51:52

Lugosi like. They. To Texas Prison

51:54

should feel. Slightly. Bad for

51:56

this. He. Had a guy that killed

51:59

three teenagers. That resulted them. And.

52:01

Then due to overcrowding, release them any. Just

52:03

went on to kill. It. One

52:06

of miracles like most wanted. Stick.

52:08

One an. That a fight less

52:11

have I go with use. Esteems Island is

52:13

a prisoner around. And then live streaming.

52:15

Hunger Games. Prison. Alan. Pin.

52:18

Island. Anyway, yeah so.

52:21

Now. You're probably wondering what the hell does Kill

52:23

It Macduff have to do with this case? Well.

52:26

Make. Dot was on death row after he got

52:29

caught again. And he was due

52:31

to be executed in Nineteen Ninety Eight. And.

52:33

Before he was. Bound.

52:35

To be executed, he confessed to killing the

52:37

girls in the yogurt shop. So.

52:40

It. Was stated said in Ninety Ninety

52:42

One. Kenneth Macduff was living in

52:44

Austin, Texas. And he was

52:46

actually living near. Where the murders took

52:49

place at. Well. Kenneth.

52:51

Was executed on November seventeenth.

52:53

Ninety Ninety Eight. And

52:56

Die. He was actually cleared of

52:58

the murders. Because. They

53:00

ended up using a Dna test and finger

53:03

printing. And. They're.

53:05

Like look his. Friends. And Dna they'll match

53:07

up. So. Why did he confessed? Why

53:09

did he say that? If no one

53:11

really knows. Why did it? But then

53:14

you think about it. If. He was on

53:16

death row about to be executed. He. Tried

53:18

to extend his time. By.

53:20

Saying A: I Killed These Girls. Put.

53:22

Me on trial so he wouldn't be executed. But

53:24

there it is like nope, sorry buddy, You know

53:26

what off all of that one. Day.

53:29

So. It's going on to our next

53:31

strange fact and finding which is an

53:33

interview with. An individual

53:36

named Eric Mobius. So.

53:39

Air had been a lawyer for

53:41

fifteen years. And served for

53:43

five years as a Texas Assistant

53:45

Attorney General. During his

53:48

interview Eric would go on

53:50

to say some outlandish allegations.

53:53

Which. I mean. What? He's

53:55

claiming. Some. Say it's

53:57

not factual. Some say it is. But.

54:00

These claims that he's making,

54:02

he says that they are

54:04

true. And. It is

54:07

about our legal system and the

54:09

insurance business and how they are

54:11

in cahoots. And. I know

54:13

it might seem weird to talk about this

54:15

and like what does it have to do

54:17

with the yogurt shop murderers but trust us

54:20

it goes back to it In this is

54:22

very very weird. Oh yeah, So.

54:25

I. Had asked this question. Have you

54:27

ever heard of reserve Fraud? With

54:30

an insurance companies. No. Not

54:32

at all. I. Never heard of

54:34

this or even know what they'll reserve fraud with

54:36

a no insurance fraud. But.

54:38

Reserve fraud? No idea. Well.

54:41

Eric alleges that. There's. A

54:43

coalition of lawyers, judges, And.

54:45

Mutual Insurance Company Executive.

54:48

That. They have devised a scheme to

54:50

extort enormous sums of money from

54:52

the insurance company. Called. Reserve

54:55

Funds. From. The insurance companies

54:57

reserved phones. Yeah. And guy. And.

55:00

He also stated that there was three ways right

55:02

that they do it. There are three ways that

55:04

they can do it. So. How.

55:07

This insurance company. Is

55:09

able to. Access these reserve

55:12

funds. Is through three ways.

55:15

One. Of the ways is a

55:17

finding or causing catastrophic accidents

55:20

which is usually involving the

55:22

deaths of children. The.

55:24

Second way is separating the

55:26

plaintiffs from their legitimate claims

55:28

against the mutual insurance company.

55:31

In. The third way is secretly processing

55:34

the claim. And. Dividing the

55:36

proceeds among the conspirators without paying

55:38

one dime the did legitimate plaintiff

55:40

which I have heard of that

55:42

third, what happened in quite a

55:44

bit? Oh yeah, So. That

55:47

is how this insurance company. Is

55:49

able to. Look. Get

55:52

those reserve funds. Yeah.

55:54

Now air goes on to say that the

55:56

genius of this reserve fraud scheme. Is

55:59

that just one. To catastrophic

56:01

accidents per year. Or.

56:03

Enough to extort tens of millions of

56:05

dollars. That. Should legally go to

56:07

the iris as taxes. And. The

56:09

policy holders as rebates. Which.

56:12

I noticed that like my mom is, a. Silver.

56:15

Interns, Say. With Usa

56:17

A. They. Give back rebates

56:19

like every year. So

56:21

pretty. Much that right there. those rebates.

56:24

They. Were not giving him to the policy holders.

56:26

They were. Keeping. It. In

56:28

an insurance company, right? Also.

56:32

Air claims that is enough money is

56:34

extorted that the insurance company may be

56:36

able to report a loss for the

56:38

year. And justify raising

56:40

it's insurance premiums. Which.

56:43

Thereby generates an even larger sum of

56:45

money to be extorted in the next

56:47

year to pretty much they say hey

56:49

oh look or insurance company lost money

56:51

so we have to raise rates. that's

56:54

why your insurance is higher now and

56:56

then they take all those premium that

56:58

they collected them all. Yeah, cover me

57:00

in the money, this be for next

57:02

year. Yeah. Now. I know it sounds

57:05

crazy. But the State Bar

57:07

of Texas has reportedly tried

57:09

to disbar Eric at least

57:11

twelve times. Failing. Of

57:13

course. Because. Of these allegations

57:15

that he makes. But a

57:17

judge. Has in joined him

57:20

from practicing law. Which.

57:22

I'm like, what the hell does enjoined mean. Literally

57:24

does means that Eric can see

57:26

hang onto his. License to

57:29

practice law, but. He

57:31

can't do it like in court or anything like that. If

57:33

he does, He'll be. In

57:36

contempt and he goes to jail. So.

57:38

What the hill? How does he practice long

57:40

and. I guess he can just like. You.

57:42

Come in there and have a meeting with on will talk to you. But.

57:44

I guess he can't but that was still be

57:46

considered practicing. all right. I. Guess I'm thinking

57:49

maybe the judges the one who signed off on all

57:51

of his stuff. That would make sense though. There's.

57:53

What they say his name on there just like up your

57:56

impotent swiftly. So. Yeah this.

57:58

I usually keep the license since be. can't get it

58:00

taken away from you. But if

58:02

you try anything, you're going to jail. So he still

58:04

has his license, but he can't practice law. Yep.

58:08

Damn. And I know you're probably sitting there wondering

58:10

what the hell does this have to do with the yogurt

58:12

shop murders? Well, in

58:15

this interview that Eric gave, he

58:18

brings up the I can't believe it's

58:20

yogurt shop company's insurance claim

58:22

of $12 million. You

58:26

know, I tried to look up the

58:28

insurance claims for this shop and

58:31

I've seen $12 million in multiple sites,

58:33

which is very weird. It's like, why

58:36

would a shop have that much? I

58:38

don't know. So we

58:40

do have a screenshot of part of this interview

58:42

that's transcribed, which

58:45

honestly, reading it, it's pretty crazy and it's

58:47

kind of sickening if it's true. Yeah.

58:51

So let's get into this transcript

58:53

real quick. All right. So

58:55

it starts off with the title saying yogurt

58:57

shop murders on December 6th, 1991. There

59:01

were four children in a yogurt shop in

59:03

Austin, Texas, two 16 year olds and

59:05

two 14 year olds. They

59:07

are kind of wrong, but close enough

59:10

at closing time, approximately 10 30, something

59:13

happened. At about midnight, the fire

59:15

trucks were called to the scene because there was a

59:17

fire in the back of the shop. What

59:19

they saw when they came in was

59:22

the four hung mutilated bodies of these

59:24

four children. And the

59:26

children had been sodomized, hung,

59:29

hung and mutilated. They don't

59:31

mention that in any of the other stuff. No,

59:34

they don't. And I mean,

59:36

the autopsies are sealed. So if they were, we wouldn't

59:38

really know. Yeah. What

59:41

we're concerned about with the yogurt shop

59:43

is the information that the claim

59:45

settled for $12 million. Why

59:48

would a yogurt shop have $12 million worth

59:50

of coverage? You normally would have

59:52

half a million. We're talking about

59:54

slip and fall liability out there or

59:56

maybe food poisoning. We first

59:58

thought that these murders. where your typical

1:00:00

walk in and walk out murders. But

1:00:03

even then, there is always a concern on the

1:00:05

part of the robbers to get in and get

1:00:08

out quickly to avoid detection. But

1:00:10

my wife worked at the Minton firm at

1:00:12

the time and she told me that the

1:00:15

children had been mutilated. When

1:00:17

we discovered that the information about the

1:00:19

children being mutilated was not released to

1:00:21

the public, it was a very

1:00:23

gruesome scene and they were hung, then

1:00:26

burned, and water was poured on the

1:00:28

floor. We have a

1:00:30

very staged murder here. How

1:00:33

did the killers know they had enough time to

1:00:35

do all that? Your first

1:00:37

thought is, is this

1:00:39

an inside job? How did

1:00:41

someone know that they would have an

1:00:43

hour to mutilate these children? You

1:00:46

would expect a brother, a sister, somebody

1:00:49

who is responsible. You

1:00:52

have girls from three different

1:00:54

families here to pick them

1:00:56

up after work and a

1:00:58

robber who is a stranger to the

1:01:00

scene would not know what the travel

1:01:02

arrangements were. It

1:01:06

turns out that a stepfather of two

1:01:09

of the children had arranged for all

1:01:11

the children to be transported in

1:01:13

the oldest daughters car and

1:01:16

that they were going to go out somewhere

1:01:18

together. That would

1:01:20

create un-accountability. But

1:01:23

we are very concerned that this

1:01:25

involves reserve fraud and that

1:01:27

is the end of part of the interview. I

1:01:30

have the link to the full interview if you want to

1:01:32

go and read more on it. But

1:01:34

you think about it, there are a lot of good points in this. So

1:01:37

when he states the oldest daughters car, I am

1:01:39

guessing that is Jennifer? How

1:01:43

supposedly Eliza was

1:01:46

supposed to ride with the girls as well. So

1:01:48

all four of them were going to be riding

1:01:50

in the same vehicle. And the only person who

1:01:52

really knew that would be the parents. The

1:02:00

same pretty much. Ah, And.

1:02:03

He makes sense. I mean, if. If the

1:02:05

girls were hung up and mutilated in.

1:02:07

Sodomized. Jesus. All. That's

1:02:09

horrible and burned. In a fire was

1:02:11

started. Know. Robber that would come

1:02:14

in. It. Actually happened Would would

1:02:16

do that. They. Would know.

1:02:18

How much time into. It. Wasn't until

1:02:21

Eleven forty seven. That. The

1:02:23

fire was spotted at the shop.

1:02:25

And. Rip called in. So. This

1:02:27

robber. Are you want to colorado

1:02:29

anymore? Because. Robbery like you go

1:02:31

and you will try to steal as much as can and

1:02:34

get out instilling thing. Daylight. It

1:02:36

mean how much to the yogurt shop make

1:02:38

really? Got probably. Not much

1:02:40

yet. So this guy. This

1:02:42

person. Had all this time to

1:02:44

do all this. But. Then. Were

1:02:47

like you say, forty five minutes after. Eleven.

1:02:50

The. South now on fire. Just.

1:02:53

The back of it though. It's

1:02:55

weird. It's very weird in. Granted,

1:02:58

If they were going out somewhere because you

1:03:00

think. These. Girls: they're all under age.

1:03:04

Forty. Five minutes late. After closing,

1:03:06

You figure? what? Ten twenty minutes?

1:03:08

The. Gathering how busy they were

1:03:10

in. The last customers were like ten for

1:03:12

ten forty two. I thank them for you. So.

1:03:15

They had enough time to clean up. If

1:03:17

you look you'll find the pictures, all the

1:03:19

chairs and suffer already on the tables. Everything

1:03:21

was cleaned up. This. Is

1:03:23

planned out. That's what our Eric belief

1:03:25

planned out near Seven theories. Yeah, we'll

1:03:27

save the reserve later. We got a

1:03:29

couple more strange facts and findings. Going

1:03:32

to get into that, right? All.

1:03:34

right? So. The next. Strange fact and

1:03:36

finding that we're gonna talk about. Is. About

1:03:38

the Co First confession made

1:03:41

by Michael Scott. So.

1:03:43

As we looked into the story, we tried to

1:03:45

see if we could find any of the interrogation

1:03:48

videos. As. We were

1:03:50

looking. the only one that we could

1:03:52

find was that of Michael Scott's. Now.

1:03:54

Initially you would think a that would be that big

1:03:57

of a deal, right? is just an interrogation video. And.

1:04:00

The if you watch the video. At

1:04:02

one point, The. Officer.

1:04:05

Who. Is pretty much interrogating him. Ends.

1:04:08

Up holding what looks like. A.

1:04:10

Suppose it gun. Used in

1:04:12

the killings. And demonstrates

1:04:14

how Michael told the girl.

1:04:17

And how he does this demonstration. Is.

1:04:19

Not on an imaginary person. In.

1:04:22

That taken a gun. Any. Puts

1:04:24

the gun two Michael's head. Now.

1:04:27

We have a link to that video. And. Will

1:04:29

have it up on a website. Bring one that wants to

1:04:31

go watch. That. Interrogation where

1:04:33

the police officer. Merge

1:04:35

Detective whichever ends up putting the gunter

1:04:37

Michael said that would make me confess

1:04:40

that wasn't long but. You. Could

1:04:42

tell that in his let the ulcers left hand.

1:04:44

Is. Using a handkerchief to hold a gun so his

1:04:46

fingerprints one of the on there. Is

1:04:48

like this is a good right Michael This is a

1:04:50

gun that you used to kill those girls. I.

1:04:53

Don't know. Yeah sure. He

1:04:55

like. How. Do you feel of how do you like?

1:04:57

Lurie was a dorm and puts a gun like right to

1:04:59

the back of his head. Like. Is this how you

1:05:01

did it? But. We know. Like.

1:05:04

I said earlier man, you don't talk the police at

1:05:06

all. Look, they pull you over. You could talk to

1:05:08

men but. Once. The Reader: Miranda

1:05:10

rights. You don't say a word and

1:05:13

you don't touch anything but hands in

1:05:15

your pockets. He. Always ask for the safe

1:05:17

word. On. What! My attorney. That

1:05:19

I say. As they keep interrogate use

1:05:21

closer closer as go sleep that they're gonna say

1:05:23

hey I got saving him and close my eyes

1:05:26

to attorney gets here. So.

1:05:28

That that's that. A. Shame.

1:05:30

Fact and like and said why the link up if you

1:05:32

wanna go watch it. Pretty much it's.

1:05:35

Think. It's multiple interviews with Michael. But

1:05:38

you. Then you'll see the one where. Also

1:05:40

goes up dorm and. It's and like

1:05:43

all black and white by you could tell that he's

1:05:45

holding something which looks like a gun. And.

1:05:47

Then put it the Michael said. The. right?

1:05:50

To are in talks about this next when we got an. Art.

1:05:53

So this next train fact I'm finding is

1:05:55

about where the fire was started. In

1:05:58

Scots appeal for his convictions. So.

1:06:00

In Michael Scott's appeal. They.

1:06:02

Are to officials to investigated the start of

1:06:04

the fired, to figure out where it started

1:06:06

out, app and and all that. So.

1:06:09

The first official was an individual

1:06:11

named Melvin Stall. And

1:06:13

he was an arson investigator for the

1:06:16

Austin Fire Department. Who. Initially concluded

1:06:18

that the fire at the shop had

1:06:20

been started on the shelves in the

1:06:22

storage area. And. Then had spread

1:06:24

of the wall. Across the ceiling

1:06:26

and down the opposite wall. With.

1:06:28

His conclusion. The bodies

1:06:31

had been burned primarily by

1:06:33

radiant heat. Now. The

1:06:35

second day. Marshall Littleton.

1:06:38

A. Special Agent with The Bureau Of

1:06:41

Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms. Reviewed.

1:06:43

The Photographic Evidence In October. Nineteen

1:06:45

Ninety Nine. Based. On his

1:06:48

analysis of the burn patterns. The.

1:06:50

Damage to the bodies. And relative amount

1:06:52

of damage to other items in the area. He.

1:06:55

Concluded that the fire had begun on the

1:06:57

bodies. And. The center of the

1:06:59

storage area. So. You Have

1:07:01

To specialist. Giving two different reports.

1:07:04

However, Melvin testified that

1:07:06

after reviewing Marshall Littleton. Findings.

1:07:10

And the evidence on which it was based.

1:07:13

He. Agreed with the conclusion that

1:07:15

the fire began. Not.

1:07:17

Where. He initially stated on the shelves,

1:07:19

but instead. On. The bodies.

1:07:22

Meaning that. Whoever did this had

1:07:24

to bring in an accelerant. Yeah.

1:07:27

There's. Mean mean other than like cleaning

1:07:29

supplies in the place. But. An

1:07:31

advocate. Difficult. Near not that

1:07:34

I'm a specialist. I mean, I did

1:07:36

graduate Fire Academy number twenty five. Okay,

1:07:38

I'm a Certified Firefighter in the state of Texas.

1:07:41

Yeah, in two thousand and seven, so

1:07:43

it's been long, haven't practiced. Priceless.

1:07:46

Talk about our last strange

1:07:48

fact in finding. Which.

1:07:50

Is about the supposed

1:07:52

to on identified males.

1:07:55

That. Were in the shop before closing.

1:07:58

So. I want you to reach back and. Your

1:08:00

mind. And. Full out. What?

1:08:02

We told you the store earlier your the

1:08:04

main story. At Tskhinvali to

1:08:06

our customers had seen. The

1:08:09

for girls there and when they left. The.

1:08:11

Customers leaving whenever they left. They.

1:08:13

Stated that there was two males that were

1:08:16

left behind. In. An icy where Were. The.

1:08:18

Debt the back, your mind will come back to it. so we're back

1:08:20

to it now. So.

1:08:22

Austin Detective John Jones and

1:08:24

the enemy fire. The. Detective

1:08:27

John Jones. He. Was the

1:08:29

lead investigator on the case at the

1:08:31

time. And he said that they

1:08:33

had questioned. Is t to

1:08:35

customers that day? The.

1:08:37

Police try to drag down everyone that

1:08:39

went to the shop that day. And.

1:08:43

Many. Of them talked about seeing

1:08:45

two males. Who. Looked out

1:08:47

of place. And. They were just

1:08:49

sitting at the shop. Right before

1:08:51

was closing. They. Didn't buy any

1:08:53

frozen yogurt. But. Instead. They.

1:08:56

Bought ten drinks. Are

1:08:59

these men have never been identified

1:09:01

and Detective Jones said they tried.

1:09:04

Everything. That they could think

1:09:06

of to try to find these guys. They.

1:09:08

Even decided to. Hypnotize

1:09:10

some folks. The. Try and

1:09:12

get a better idea of, you know, Who.

1:09:15

These people were, hey, we're going to hypnotize you, were

1:09:17

going to access the subconscious of your mind and. Pull.

1:09:19

Out information when he. When.

1:09:21

He the get a better description of who these

1:09:24

on. I didn't Five males are yeah, but he

1:09:26

didn't work now. Now. Fairly

1:09:28

who was one of Michael Scott's the

1:09:30

Fence teams lawyers. Said. That one

1:09:32

of the men was described as having light. Short.

1:09:35

Hair like a dirty blonde. And

1:09:37

was said to have been about five foot

1:09:39

six and in his late twenties or early

1:09:41

thirties. The. Other man was

1:09:43

described as being bigger em both

1:09:45

were observed wearing big coats. See.

1:09:48

Said one of them was seen wearing a

1:09:50

green Army for T kind of looking jacket.

1:09:52

In the other was just a black jacket.

1:09:55

Which. Sadly, to this day those men

1:09:57

have not been identified. And.

1:10:00

Lot of people think that these two

1:10:02

on males were the. Ones

1:10:04

that probably committed the crime.

1:10:07

That the Dna they could ever get a hold of them.

1:10:09

The Dna would probably match them. Or. Least

1:10:11

one of them. Well.

1:10:15

That's pretty much or last strange fact and finding.

1:10:18

And. The that leads us into

1:10:20

our theories. About. What?

1:10:23

Or who. Could. Have Done This.

1:10:25

So. Are very first theory is

1:10:27

called robbery gone wrong. This

1:10:30

theory states that whoever tried to

1:10:33

rob the yogurt shop. Whether.

1:10:35

It be the original for men.

1:10:37

Were the two unknown males or

1:10:40

just a random person? That.

1:10:42

During the robbery they ended up

1:10:44

running into some issues. Having.

1:10:47

To deal with the for girls. Instead

1:10:49

of the two that were originally working.

1:10:52

And. Then now you know during the robbery process

1:10:54

the girls like we don't have a lot of

1:10:56

money. And they were like, well, Shit.

1:10:59

And then they started screaming. They're like know and

1:11:01

the robber freaks out and you know shoots one.

1:11:04

The. Other ones regarding doesn't get down and shoot

1:11:07

the other ones and in one try to always

1:11:09

use that one and and forty six hour on

1:11:11

and white them on fire and then leaves. I

1:11:14

find that hard to believe. I found it

1:11:16

hard to believe. But. That's one

1:11:18

of theories. A. Right

1:11:20

tells his next one day in. Iraq.

1:11:23

So this next theory is called evil intentions.

1:11:26

This. Theory that the robbery was just an

1:11:28

added evil deed. The. Real Target was

1:11:30

to take advantage of to seventeen year

1:11:32

old girls that would be closing the

1:11:34

shop all by themselves. The. Perp

1:11:36

didn't expect there to be to more younger

1:11:38

girls with them. And it

1:11:41

up holding them at gunpoint and taking advantage

1:11:43

and sexually assaulting them. And after

1:11:45

you're done he said the store fire to

1:11:47

cover up any evidence left behind. So.

1:11:49

Pretty much it's like a lot a robbery.

1:11:51

It's just an individual who targeted to seventeen

1:11:54

year old girl that he planned on. Assaulting

1:11:57

and murdering. And then he was like, oh shit,

1:11:59

there's two more. You're. Damn.

1:12:02

Right source. Get onto the next theory

1:12:04

which is called insurance fraud. So.

1:12:06

This theory goes off of

1:12:09

what Eric Mobius claimed. About

1:12:11

how there is a bigger scheme

1:12:14

happening. With. Collecting insurance

1:12:16

claims from the reserve funds.

1:12:19

That. Is used to pay the

1:12:21

I R s every year. Which.

1:12:24

Is. Claim on that kind of brings

1:12:26

up the question of. I

1:12:29

mean why does a small yogurt shop

1:12:31

have an insurance claim of twelve million

1:12:33

dollars? The usually only have. Two.

1:12:35

Hundred fifty thousand to One million

1:12:37

dollars in coverage. A. Twelve

1:12:39

million dollar coverage. Kind.

1:12:41

Of suspicious. Even. If it was

1:12:43

a chain of. Frozen. Yogurt Source:

1:12:46

That's still a lotta money for. Oh.

1:12:49

I slipped and fell our own. The

1:12:51

food poisoning. Maybe. The insurance

1:12:54

company obviously marks it up when

1:12:56

some tragedy like this happens. And

1:12:58

then they. You know, make the claim

1:13:00

themselves and and write it off and then

1:13:02

collect their their phones. I mean that's

1:13:04

pretty much what they're saying is like. Oh, there's

1:13:07

there was murders in the store. Fire.

1:13:09

Damage. Insurance. Claim.

1:13:12

Ah with. This. Catastrophic incident.

1:13:15

We. Gotta up the claim. Are.

1:13:17

Now we have to go into I reserve funds. Ah

1:13:20

look at that. We have a loss this year because

1:13:22

we had to pay out told me and dollars. They.

1:13:25

Want to pay the iran as. They. Passed the

1:13:27

money, Premiums, Got the next

1:13:29

year he had a pocket that twelve million. Dollars.

1:13:33

You. Or it tells about

1:13:35

this next period an. Eye. For

1:13:37

the snake Serious God serial killer. This

1:13:39

theory speculate that the murders. Could.

1:13:41

Have been committed by a serial killer that

1:13:43

was just passing through the area and. That.

1:13:46

Just means that these perpetrators this

1:13:49

serial killer. Struck. at random,

1:13:51

making it difficult for investigators to track them

1:13:53

down. That's why. No. One

1:13:55

knew who was. They have a beer

1:13:57

us find. I'm thirty three years almost.

1:14:01

That's pretty my status. They. Were travel to

1:14:03

the area. Start by. Saw. Took.

1:14:06

Advantage of the fact that. They. Would be

1:14:08

by themselves the shop that they were closing.

1:14:10

Pretty. Much you have a. Have. This whole

1:14:13

shop to do your murder Than. Say.

1:14:15

About the back door without setting off an alarm and

1:14:17

a you know, a good start a fire. There.

1:14:20

Is a serial killer in Austin? Currently

1:14:22

nobody talks about it, but there is

1:14:24

a legitimate serial killer in Austin. And

1:14:27

no one talks about it. He or she.

1:14:29

The. Be there, or could be They. I'm

1:14:31

not sure. Whoever. The serial

1:14:34

killer is. Targets. White

1:14:37

males. That are inebriated.

1:14:39

And. In they drown them. You. Can look

1:14:41

it up. It. There's a serial killer

1:14:43

that is in Austin that no one talks about

1:14:45

that drowns white males. I'm. A

1:14:48

prime target. Or this lower than do

1:14:50

and you going to beat me. I'm not I'm

1:14:52

and debate me legal put me here you go

1:14:54

but go prose on among other put ago brawny

1:14:56

a might put air tag up the but. Develop.

1:14:59

Your Location Or Alibi Ghillie suit.

1:15:02

And. We're going to plan is in the park in. You're.

1:15:04

Going to be walking. Pretend. To be

1:15:06

a neighbor? he doesn't He's gonna walk back for your

1:15:09

sit on the bench. just chill and. I'll.

1:15:11

Be in the bushes. Weight and.

1:15:13

Okay we're going to get on. Is somebody going

1:15:15

to come up to mean it would be like

1:15:18

hey boy would he doing and be I know

1:15:20

there have been drinking too many board lox. Ah

1:15:22

were are doing and he's gonna be

1:15:25

like or see your face can be

1:15:27

like you got a per mouth each

1:15:29

one of those women now and i

1:15:31

swim pretty good an ama be like

1:15:34

Moon K. And. Them go. Tricky

1:15:36

bit, I'm not drunk. Ah, beat his

1:15:38

friggin' pass. The army's good. Come out

1:15:40

the bushes just flying kick. Meat

1:15:43

Pies and frame bit, you know, karate? We're.

1:15:46

Gonna get I'm the but seriously there is a

1:15:48

serial killer in Austin say does worry me he

1:15:50

I mean I'm not the way that but. Yeah

1:15:53

so let's get on to or

1:15:55

next which is called Snuff Film.

1:15:58

Now. If you're unfamiliar with what us nothing

1:16:00

man, it's pretty much a film that is.

1:16:04

It. Is A A recording. Video

1:16:07

recording. Of. Acts

1:16:09

that are being done or

1:16:11

performed on individuals. That.

1:16:13

Are probably the worst you can think of.

1:16:15

Inside Killings on film. Pretty. Much

1:16:17

somebody committing a horrible crime. They video

1:16:20

recorded. And. Then they release those films

1:16:22

to the public. To. Thank the whatever

1:16:24

it is girls someone was ever the camera.

1:16:26

Yeah, that's literally what it is. The at

1:16:28

his theory is that. Whoever committed

1:16:30

this crime. Is part

1:16:33

of an organized ring. Of.

1:16:35

Individuals that go around. And

1:16:38

they commit these. Atrocious

1:16:40

crimes and the video record

1:16:42

themselves committing them. And

1:16:45

then they end up releasing the

1:16:47

these films on the dark web

1:16:49

for x amount of bitcoin or

1:16:51

however many. Coins that they want

1:16:54

from like points. Crypto coins ethereal. They.

1:16:56

Don't Coin Those coins. And.

1:16:58

The know the sick owes purchase

1:17:00

them and the they watch him.

1:17:03

And it's extremely profitable for.

1:17:06

And. As crazy as it sounds, This.

1:17:08

Happens there have been individuals. That

1:17:11

have been convicted for this. I

1:17:13

guarantee you there are other individuals around

1:17:15

the United States. Even groups that

1:17:18

go around and commit these crimes to

1:17:20

great these films. So. That's one

1:17:22

of the theories is that this was

1:17:24

a part of. A. Film.

1:17:28

He. Weighs much tells what is less theory Dan.

1:17:31

I. So there's less theory that we have

1:17:33

is called personal vendetta. I

1:17:35

mean, it's pretty much in the name someone

1:17:37

added out for these girls. They.

1:17:40

Ended up. Our they seem like really nice girl that

1:17:42

on away by would be mad at him or hate on. Fire.

1:17:44

I guess. Some. People think that.

1:17:47

They. End up passing off the wrong person and. They.

1:17:50

Found out is there are closing the store there are

1:17:52

going to be in their. Don't.

1:17:54

Ended horrible things? Don't. Then. Escaped.

1:17:57

The. I'm a you think about it. Out.

1:18:00

The there are people out of the do that like. Know

1:18:02

they did as me, honored his on and

1:18:04

completely horrible to them. Take it up a

1:18:06

notch or. Ten. Yeah.

1:18:09

So. That right there is our last series.

1:18:11

Now we are going to roll into her

1:18:14

own personal thoughts and theories. I'm going

1:18:16

ask you dance. At. Of all

1:18:18

of these theories. I. Want

1:18:20

to know? Is. There one specific one that

1:18:22

sticks out to you. Or. Do

1:18:24

you have your own theory on what happened?

1:18:27

Who. The. One that

1:18:29

sticks out to me the most is honestly

1:18:32

it's that insurance fraud one. On

1:18:34

or a why, but it. There's. A lot

1:18:36

of good points to it. But. Do you think.

1:18:38

Someone. Involved with the insurance companies committed

1:18:41

the murder Or do you think that the

1:18:43

murder took place. In that the

1:18:45

insurance company just benefited off of the

1:18:47

murders. Oh. Because that's

1:18:50

the. Truth. Thing. Is

1:18:52

there a hit squad of insurance people?

1:18:55

Oh. That. Is a

1:18:57

tough one right there. Are. Over be like

1:18:59

it's want from an insurance company. but. A

1:19:01

hoof. Actually I would I would

1:19:03

go that route. It actually say that there might

1:19:05

be. They. Do say this:

1:19:07

a coalition between like the government, lawyers and

1:19:10

all that. Had he knows

1:19:12

that Police officers to. I mean you had

1:19:14

the want. And that kind

1:19:16

of goes into what. I. Got personal theory

1:19:18

of mind is that. I

1:19:20

almost want to say that the first leads us

1:19:22

or three gay. Was. A

1:19:24

to say even though they said they just Dna

1:19:26

and all that stuff. That. He

1:19:29

had to be like he might have been about. He was

1:19:31

the first one to for us but the fire. But.

1:19:34

Only thing that gonna. Goes. Against it

1:19:36

is. That. I looked up what

1:19:39

type of firearm the police officers had

1:19:41

back then. Which. Not say that

1:19:43

he didn't carry a personal one. A.

1:19:45

Person one that he had also. But

1:19:47

amy. Ayers was shot twice, once

1:19:49

with a twenty two caliber. Second,

1:19:52

Time with a three eighty. Two.

1:19:54

Did the second shot and why was it a different caliber?

1:19:57

Wasn't. She found alive. And. The she

1:19:59

died and. Little. She

1:20:01

would have found alive. Know. That

1:20:03

she was live. Normally. Founder.

1:20:06

Know. The say founder. Crawling

1:20:08

away and the someone sinister

1:20:11

off. Oh. I thought

1:20:13

she was alive whenever. The founder. Memory

1:20:15

haven't got shot Ned twice. Now.

1:20:18

The. Supposedly the first shot

1:20:20

from what someone says the first shot.

1:20:22

It. Didn't penetrate her skull. The toy to

1:20:25

didn't. says. He. Was.

1:20:27

Unconscious for a little bit. then she got up and

1:20:29

try to crawl away. Then the second shot

1:20:31

from the Three Eighty. It was from the back

1:20:33

of the right side of her head. And.

1:20:36

Exit out of are left t o the

1:20:38

hot and as what they say but I'm

1:20:40

like how do you know that without seeing

1:20:42

the autopsy reports. Man. So

1:20:44

it's like I believe that there's something

1:20:46

fishy going on. I would say that

1:20:48

it could be a coalition of New

1:20:50

Law is please. Also of like that.

1:20:53

Isn't. Happening to wear. Money

1:20:55

being split up between insurance companies in these

1:20:57

people's money makes people do weird things. man.

1:21:00

But. Out. There still lot

1:21:02

so much missing information from this and.

1:21:05

I'll knows it's crazy but. As

1:21:07

what I believe. Yeah. Okay, What

1:21:09

do you think? I.

1:21:11

Don't think it's a robbery gone wrong. I.

1:21:13

Do believe that the insurance company took

1:21:16

advantage of this. Of. This

1:21:18

Happening. By. Doing this entire

1:21:20

claim on them. But

1:21:22

I don't think they're the ones that committed a crime.

1:21:24

I think there. Are a group

1:21:27

of individuals. They don't commit these crimes.

1:21:29

Whether. Be two or three individuals that just go

1:21:32

around. They. Serve. In.

1:21:34

The army or some part of the military branch

1:21:36

and they go around and they just. Commit.

1:21:39

These crimes sort of like. Mercenaries.

1:21:41

Of sorts. You. Know, assassins, hitmen?

1:21:44

yeah, but they're messed up in the

1:21:46

hit. And. They think they're doing right,

1:21:48

but. Instead, they're doing wrong.

1:21:50

and they got these urges. And.

1:21:52

They. Fill their urges by traveling

1:21:54

around the United States and committing these

1:21:56

crimes. So. The profile would

1:21:58

be. C. Or

1:22:01

mid twenties to mid thirties.

1:22:05

White. Males. Both.

1:22:07

With. Past military

1:22:09

history. Both. With

1:22:11

mental illness so they would. Have

1:22:13

and their military record of. Having

1:22:16

some type of met a mental illness,

1:22:18

both of them are honorably discharged. Yeah.

1:22:21

I'm going. Okay, Agassi the

1:22:23

the mean: whoever did this. Who.

1:22:25

Was planned. Obviously. It was

1:22:27

planned. Yeah because I don't know if you go in

1:22:30

for a quick and an hour robbery. Nothing.

1:22:32

Goes as planned like that. And.

1:22:35

I know that the mobius aired mobius.

1:22:37

they pay. You know, maybe it's the

1:22:39

family because. They knew that the girls

1:22:41

i'm I'm be picked up and they knew that the at a

1:22:43

long time. Was. To say if the to guy

1:22:45

in the camel jack if that had been there for a

1:22:48

little while? What if they were just chit chat with the

1:22:50

girls. In. Trying to get a feel of. A

1:22:53

What are your? what? are your plans after this? Oh no,

1:22:55

You know we're just. All. Gonna ride back

1:22:57

together home or families waiting on us. The.

1:22:59

Nets are they now Okay Their families that common to

1:23:01

look for. That. Through yeah.

1:23:05

They. Said there in question them. And.

1:23:07

Then they figured out okay, these are our targets.

1:23:10

They. Like okay girls, we'll see later. Have

1:23:12

fun! And. They lock up and they

1:23:14

will walk around the back. In

1:23:16

the. Go. Through the backdoor. Knock.

1:23:19

On it grows over not boom. They keep it open.

1:23:22

And in they commit their group and then

1:23:24

they are like the girls on fire and

1:23:26

then leave. Oh the to the

1:23:28

front door was locked in so they would

1:23:30

have to go out the back. Seat

1:23:32

know where I guarantee. They. Sat

1:23:34

there until closing in. The girls like okay we're close enough

1:23:37

me like are it's he later so they leave out the

1:23:39

front door. The girls lock the front door,

1:23:41

dig into the vehicle, They drive around to the

1:23:43

back door. They. Stop They get out

1:23:45

the knock on door at the back door

1:23:47

the girls and up opening it because like

1:23:49

who the hell lock on a backdoor they

1:23:51

open it. I'd. Say it. But. You

1:23:54

know, your frontal lobe capacity at that age

1:23:56

isn't you? Don't think ahead that much. They.

1:23:58

Opened it up. Boom. They kicked. Door Open the guys

1:24:01

do. They come in commit the murder

1:24:03

like the grove on fire. Leaf.

1:24:05

I. Don't a the not. I just think pretty much

1:24:07

have that. Where. They drove around him and they

1:24:09

just waited because. They. Lack the front door, they had

1:24:12

to go out the back to get out of the building to go

1:24:14

into the vehicle. So. They just wait for the girls

1:24:16

to so common out. And they didn't They

1:24:18

had that. Okay, yeah. The

1:24:20

front door was locked in. The shop

1:24:22

owner always had them lead to keep inside of

1:24:24

it. So. The Keating It laws. So.

1:24:27

The key was found inside the front door. Locked.

1:24:30

So they had to go out the back. Ah

1:24:32

so. They knew out that they didn't

1:24:34

lock your from the outside to the front. They.

1:24:37

Always liked his from inside and an exit out the

1:24:39

back. In. An.

1:24:42

Well. If you are loved one.
