Who supports you? Were you told you could achieve anything as a kid? Were you asked what you wanted to be when you grew up or who you wanted to be? There’s a difference. Many of us tend to forget; what we do does not define who we are. It is in these stages, as a kid, where we begin to set the precedent for the following years of life. We build our foundations. We learn what we can do, what we believe, and how that will all show up in the world. Many of us learn things that tend to limit our greatness. As a young kid, Nick Maier was lazy. He held fear when he saw all his pro league baseball dreams shatter. Not for any reason other than not putting in the work. With a distorted mindset, Nick took this information to throw himself into the fitness world. After losing too much weight over the following summer, Nick found himself depressed and fighting a bigger mental battle. Where to go next?

It took years of painful growth. It’s had its ups and downs, but the more Nick has stayed true to his calling, he’s lived in purpose. The more Nick, and The Youth Academy, is able to take time to assess and improve, the better off they find themselves. The more time Nick and his coaches spend with each one of their kids, the better off the kids are. The Academy is, and always will be, youth focused on the relationships and growth each individual has potential for.
