Aloha! This week on The Two River’s Café Podcast Andy talks to the delightfully talented singer-songwriter, session singer and vocal coach, Lucy Potterton.
In her illustrious career so far, Lucy has been a member of the Swingle Singers, toured with Florence and The Machine and featured on the soundtracks for movies including The Hobbit, Beauty and the Beast and Avengers Endgame. As a vocal coach she has also worked on ITV’s The Voice UK and BBC’s Little Mix: The Search.
The Two Rivers Café is a meeting place for creative minds who work with music, hosted by composer and lyricist Andrew Fisher - that’s him over there at the piano telling a hen-do that if they hum it, he’ll play it.
He and Lucy talk about songwriting inspiration and what it’s like being part of the headline act on the main stage at Glastonbury. They also write a new song together which you can hear towards the end of the episode.
