You're listening to the Talk Your Sass show.

0:02

I'm your host, Jen Talks Tech. We're

0:05

back with another episode. I've

0:07

been away from the podcast

0:10

for a little minute just because

0:13

It's really, I've just been doing like a life

0:15

edit. I'm going to explain more what that is later,

0:18

but women evolve,

0:22

has life evolving. Okay. last

0:24

episode I talked about my

0:26

experience. It's with Women

0:28

Evolve and this is

0:31

going to be a Women Evolve recap

0:33

part two. More about

0:36

how Women Evolve,

0:38

it going to the Women Evolve

0:40

conference has

0:43

impacted my life more so

0:45

than, in the last episode, we talked

0:47

more about likes, dislikes,

0:49

faves. Now we're talking

0:51

about how Women

0:54

Evolve. The conference

0:57

has me evolving. And

0:59

so I needed a couple of weeks

1:01

to really digest

1:03

this and really think about this,

1:06

because women evolve was

1:08

a lot and it was definitely

1:11

very impactful, for me,

1:13

for I'm sure

1:15

the 40 other, the 39.

1:19

Thousand 999

1:21

other women that

1:23

went to it. Y'all see those quick mats?

1:25

Listen. yeah. All the other

1:27

women that went as well, I'm sure

1:29

it was, I'm sure they're still unpacking.

1:31

I'm sure they're still, reflecting

1:34

on the experience, letting it soak

1:37

in, letting it sink in as we all

1:39

should. And so, I

1:41

took a little time to do that, and

1:43

to really gather my thoughts since

1:45

being, at Woman Evolved. conference.

1:49

So I would say ever

1:51

since coming back from the conference, I've

1:54

been hearing God telling me

1:57

to simplify everything. And that's

1:59

really been the, the

2:01

theme. So I would, I

2:03

would even say, I know I started

2:05

this, this year off

2:08

with my theme word. I pick a

2:10

theme word for every year. And

2:12

my, sometime I picked two.

2:15

So really it was just about

2:17

Execution, that was my

2:20

execution and yeah, it was my

2:22

theme word for this

2:25

year, but ever

2:27

since coming back from Women Evolve,

2:29

I would say my theme word has shifted

2:32

into simplicity and

2:36

Simplicity has been doing

2:38

an evolution on me.

2:40

I'm just, I'm trying

2:42

to simplify everything in

2:45

every area of my life. So with

2:48

business, with content creation,

2:51

it has really allowed me

2:53

to have clarity. The simplification

2:57

of those things in my mind

2:59

has allowed me to have way more clarity

3:01

and move with way more clarity. And

3:05

I'm so grateful for that. I will say that that's my

3:07

biggest. Take away

3:09

or the biggest impact Women

3:12

Evolved has had on

3:14

me, thus far from coming back.

3:17

My mind is so clear

3:19

now. not that I didn't have clarity

3:22

before, but I have so much clarity

3:24

in the direction and the decision

3:26

making, part of business

3:29

and content creation and

3:32

sharing my ideas and sharing my

3:34

thoughts and. Processes

3:37

and mental models

3:39

and all of those things are really things

3:41

that God has been telling me to do.

3:44

And... It just seemed

3:47

very overwhelming. I didn't really

3:49

have clear direction.

3:51

I didn't have insight. And

3:53

so I was, I had been praying for that

3:55

for a while. And so now I

3:59

definitely feel like there has

4:01

been a huge shift in my mindset,

4:04

ever since focusing simplicities.

4:09

So the simplicity has brought

4:11

along with it clarity.

4:13

I do think, those two go hand in

4:15

hand. And so, that

4:18

has been a major shift

4:20

for me, like I said. And so, the

4:23

other thing that I was saying about women evolve,

4:26

and coming back from women evolve, I

4:28

feel. A lot

4:30

more grace

4:33

for myself. I would

4:35

say before,

4:38

before women evolved,

4:41

I would women evolve. I don't know why

4:43

I keep calling it women evolved. I guess it's

4:45

because it's after the facts and I do

4:47

feel like we evolved those

4:49

who went. So I, for

4:51

me, it's like, oh, it's after the fact we evolved

4:54

child. So I

4:57

will say that, Ever

4:59

since coming back, I have

5:01

allowed myself, given

5:03

myself way more grace

5:06

for the things that I

5:09

am not doing, that I want to do.

5:11

And I think that has always been a struggle

5:14

for me and I have,

5:16

I have continued to evolve in that

5:18

area and not putting so

5:20

much pressure on myself

5:23

and not putting so much,

5:25

focus Missteps,

5:28

failures, setbacks, and

5:30

when I don't do something that I want to do, let's

5:33

say manage my time, let's

5:35

say, you know, I missed a couple of

5:37

weeks, not putting out an episode. I

5:39

had, I decided to go back to

5:42

bi weekly episodes because weekly

5:44

episodes just wasn't cutting it. And

5:46

so for me, and I know

5:48

that that's what the quote unquote experts.

5:51

people who are high,

5:54

have high rank podcasts, people who

5:56

are killing it in this space. They're

5:59

saying weekly episodes, the more you can do,

6:01

the more whatever, but like

6:03

that type of pressure and

6:05

hustle culture, it really is not fitting

6:07

into everybody's life. And

6:10

I have, I've been giving myself a ton

6:12

of grace as far as

6:15

yes, I want to be consistent. Yes. I'm striving

6:17

for consistency. But I

6:19

have to acknowledge

6:21

and celebrate. Okay. Yeah. I might

6:24

still be in a bi weekly podcast, but

6:26

am I, have

6:28

I been consistent in the bi weekly podcast? That's

6:30

just an example. Have I been consistent when

6:33

I said I was going to post three times a week

6:35

on said platform and

6:38

I may have wanted to post four times a week, but

6:41

if I posted three, a win is a win. So

6:44

I, I'm super grateful and thankful

6:46

for that grace, that

6:49

I've just been feeling over

6:51

the last month of, celebrating.

6:55

small wins again and giving

6:57

myself grace in small wins, even

7:00

though it might

7:02

not have, I might not have achieved

7:04

everything or the full goal

7:06

or whatever. I should still celebrate

7:09

and acknowledge that within myself. Also,

7:12

one of the things that I talked about in the last.

7:15

Episode was form. I

7:18

believe it was the first night, which

7:20

was Thursday.

7:22

I feel like of women evolve.

7:25

Um Sarah talked about

7:27

form. And

7:30

I would say for the

7:32

last 3 to 4 years,

7:35

I had really struggled with. I

7:37

did a ton of work on learning,

7:41

coaching, learning how to build a coaching business, learning

7:43

how to build a coaching practice, all

7:45

these things, how to

7:48

monetize your information,

7:50

your, intellectual property.

7:53

And most of

7:55

the information,

7:57

most of the expert advice, most of the tips.

8:00

Most of the, most of the knowledge that was

8:02

out there, people were saying,

8:04

be a coach, create courses. And

8:08

when she started talking about form,

8:10

it really hit me because that's,

8:13

I had been feeling for a long time, struggling

8:15

against that because that is not the,

8:17

the, the way or the

8:20

form or the format

8:22

that I felt was best

8:24

for me. To deliver my information,

8:27

to have my business model, and

8:30

because I didn't really see a lane

8:32

or I didn't really see, a kind of like

8:35

a role model or example out there

8:38

that matched what I saw in my head,

8:40

I was kind of following a road map or

8:43

a blueprint of what was already out there, even though

8:45

it was not aligning with me, and

8:48

I would say this year, I've

8:51

really like Stuck with that and

8:53

have not have been pulling

8:56

away from that direction and aligning

8:58

with what I have in my head, even

9:00

though I don't know what to call it, even

9:02

though I might not know the format, even though I might

9:04

not have the blueprint and I just.

9:07

I just felt really good about that. So

9:09

when she started talking about form, it really aligned

9:12

with me. And when I say

9:14

everything has been falling into place

9:16

with how I'm

9:18

supposed to be moving in

9:21

the space of creating

9:24

digital products, assets,

9:27

whatever, being an informationpreneur

9:30

as, as one of my favorite people

9:32

online that I can't remember her name right now,

9:35

cause I've been following her for a minute. but

9:37

just leaving it at that, if it's not defined,

9:40

it's not defined if it's not, if

9:42

it, if it has a new form or

9:44

a new format, if it's never been done before,

9:46

that's fine too. That's cool too. so

9:49

really, I came away with that with,

9:52

I am the blueprint for what I'm trying to do.

9:54

I came out with blueprint energy

9:56

and the piece that I got

9:59

from that. Has

10:01

been just like

10:04

life changing, you know, like when

10:06

we used to watch those cartoons or shows, they

10:08

used to be like, ah, like when people got stuff,

10:11

that's how it's been. It's been like a huge light bulb,

10:14

like a huge energy

10:16

spark, like a lightning bolt. around

10:19

some things that I'm going to be putting out and some

10:21

things that you will see

10:23

from me very soon.

10:26

But I'm going to be putting

10:28

it out very slow because

10:31

that's another, I would say, so my top

10:33

three things would be the simplicity,

10:35

the form and the

10:37

last one is pace. I'm,

10:40

I was about to say, I'm going to be putting it out

10:42

very slowly. Everything that I'm doing,

10:44

I'm putting it out at my own pace, very

10:46

slowly, not in a format,

10:49

not following this, not following that,

10:51

not, not looking at this, but I'm,

10:53

I'm on the spaghetti sticking to the wall at

10:56

this point. and I just feel that

10:58

that is the best way for me. And what I'm

11:00

most aligned to. So it's

11:02

going to be very slow rollout. it's

11:04

going to be very slow and intentional

11:07

of what I'm doing, how I'm

11:09

putting stuff out, how I'm moving,

11:11

how I'm pivoting and

11:13

everything that you're going to be seeing from

11:16

the Gentalks tech brand, the

11:18

bloomology brand and

11:21

a new brand that I'm not going to announce because

11:23

I have not. I just trademarked

11:25

it and put it into, enrolled it into my

11:28

LLC parent company. So

11:30

we will not share that name, but I

11:32

have so much coming out and I feel really good about

11:35

it. And I'm very excited to

11:37

share it with everybody, SASH

11:39

drives. So you're going to see it and hear

11:41

it first. Stache Tribe,

11:44

tap in, let me know what

11:47

you, what were your top highlights

11:49

and your fave moments, takeaways,

11:52

now that you've had a minute to sit

11:55

with everything from Women

11:57

Evolve. If you went. If you

11:59

are in the delegation, I need you

12:01

to tap in and let me know what

12:04

were your top takeaways, what were your

12:06

favorite moments, your highlights,

12:08

and, and your reflections. I feel like I'm

12:10

even more interested in

12:12

knowing your reflections

12:15

now that you've sat with, I

12:17

guess it's been like a month post,

12:20

post woman evolve a month later. What

12:23

are your reflections at this

12:25

point? All right,

12:27

Sass Tribe, it's been real. Keep

12:30

showing up. Keep talking
