In this episode of The Makers Gonna Make Show, Julie interviews Frankie, founder of Coconut Girl Brands. After dropping out of UCLA, Frankie went to culinary school where she began experimenting with coconut-based ice-cream recipes inspired by a new diet (at the time) called, PALEO. Frankie’s workout tribe tried, loved, and began offering to buy Frankie’s healthy treats. Coconut Girl Brands, Coconut Milk Frozen Desserts was born. One of the biggest lessons Frankie has learned is about taking risks. After being rejected by Shark Tank her first go-around, Frankie not only secured a spot on the popular angel investing show but partnered with Mark Cuban. In this episode we talk about the value of asking for feedback, getting in grocery store freezers, and having business credibility. Don’t want to miss another awesome interview?
