Episode Reviews

This episode is a great example of what I love about this podcast: a sense of history combined with very specific information about the language that we English-speakers use every day. I particularly loved the thesis that the introduction of Christianity forced the Anglo-Saxons to allow non-English words into their vocabulary, which eventually led English to become more flexible. Also, it's exciting to imagine the speed of cultural change that must have been happening when "ginger" was a new word.
