1:13

Hello, everybody, and welcome to The Great America

1:15

Show. Great to have you with us. President

1:18

Trump back before the Marxist-Dem

1:20

Judge won Merchant Tuesday, where

1:23

he sat for a contempt of court hearing.

1:25

Prosecutors last week filing a

1:27

nasty motion to hold President

1:29

Trump in contempt of court

1:32

for violating Judge Merchant's expanded

1:34

gag order, which barred

1:36

President Trump from criticizing Merchant

1:38

himself and his

1:40

highly conflicted family members.

1:42

Merchants said that he's going to wait,

1:44

though, to rule on whether he's going to

1:47

be a tough guy with President Trump, asserting

1:50

that Trump had violated the gag

1:52

order. It's unclear when he'll actually

1:54

issue any kind of ruling. And

1:57

I think that's the first smart thing I've seen

1:59

Merchant do. Trump not having

2:01

any part of this Marxist judge's

2:03

violation of his First Amendment rights,

2:05

tweeting the following while the court

2:08

was on lunch break. They

2:10

highly conflicted to put it mildly.

2:12

Judge Juan Merchant, the president said,

2:15

has taken away my constitutional rights

2:17

to free speech. Everybody's allowed to

2:19

talk and lie about me, but

2:21

I'm not allowed to defend myself.

2:24

This is a kangaroo court, and

2:26

the judge should recuse himself. Well,

2:29

there you have it. And the

2:31

Hamas sympathizers who've been taking over

2:33

college campuses, particularly in the Ivy

2:35

League, pushing their

2:37

anti-Semitism, their anti-Israeli bull.

2:39

They continued their demonstrations

2:42

this week. In

2:44

New York, they've now taken over

2:46

two college campuses, NYU and Columbia

2:48

University. And at Columbia,

2:50

the president of the school has suddenly

2:53

decided on, well, there won't

2:55

be any person in classes

2:58

for the rest of this semester. In

3:00

other words, students who want to learn

3:03

are now paying the price for a

3:05

university that is openly allowing bigotry, anti-Semitism,

3:08

anti-Israeli protests on

3:11

campus. Imagine paying more

3:13

than $70,000 for your

3:15

kid to go to an Ivy League

3:17

school online. President Trump

3:20

had a few words to say about

3:22

the ongoing situation. But

3:24

Trump saying these Hamas demonstrations

3:26

are all happening because Joe

3:29

Biden enables him and doesn't even

3:31

know where he stands on the

3:33

Hamas-Israeli war. Take

3:35

a listen to President Trump. This is a

3:37

mess. It's going to

3:40

be the counter-attack and

3:42

the counter-decorating in a way

3:44

that has the disgrace. And

3:47

it's really not going to be. He's

3:49

got the red tone, he's got the red tone.

3:51

He has to know who he's back to. And

3:54

it's a mess. This

3:56

is where me, the FBI, and

3:59

the media, He can't do so

4:01

much with the trinity of the business.

4:03

I'm sorry, I'm sorry. I

4:07

told Marcus that everybody knows him. He's

4:09

got no message. He's got no compassion.

4:11

He doesn't know where he's going. He

4:14

can't put two sentences together. Oh,

4:17

geez. He is the worst person in the history

4:19

of our country. And again, when

4:21

filming movies this quiz was

4:23

interesting how it died. Great

4:25

Americans, people of great young men, and they

4:28

were just executed. And

4:30

they were just speciallated. We

4:32

have more police presence here than anyone's ever

4:34

seen, but blocks you can't get near this

4:36

for us. And yet you have

4:39

nobody else in college. We have

4:41

a... They're radical people,

4:43

running to work at the college in Zander,

4:45

the university in Zander. And

4:47

that's a shame, but it all starts with

4:49

your life. The signals he puts out are

4:52

so big, and I continue. He's

4:54

no friend of Israel, that's for sure. And

4:57

he's no friend of the Arab world. He

4:59

took a look at what he said. He's

5:01

no king. He has no right to do this.

5:05

He's so good to do it. He puts a

5:07

look like a middle grabber. And oftentimes that doesn't

5:09

work, but it's certainly not working here. But

5:12

what he's done to Israel is a basement

5:14

there. And he's sending to

5:17

be as nice as he can to

5:19

the other side. And

5:21

that's not what he means, because they get

5:23

in. And he's a

5:25

good gentleman. A beast will never happen when

5:28

a guy like this... Thank you very

5:30

much. And our guest today is author,

5:33

journalist, Naomi Wolf. Naomi has a new

5:35

book out called Facing the Beast, Courage,

5:38

Faith, and Resistance in a New Dark

5:40

Age. We recommend it to you highly,

5:42

of course. And here now is Naomi

5:44

Wolf. And the book is

5:46

Facing the Beast. And I've

5:48

got to add the subtitle,

5:51

Courage, Faith, and Resistance in a

5:53

New Dark Age. I

5:55

mean, that's a compelling title. I

5:58

know it's a compelling book. book. So

6:01

let's start with this dark

6:04

age and the beast.

6:07

Give us what is the beast

6:10

and how dark is this age? Well,

6:13

these are fair questions. So the beast

6:15

has, you know, like any good metaphor,

6:18

multiple layers of

6:20

meaning. In the

6:22

book, the chapter that,

6:25

you know, from which that title is

6:27

drawn, it's an actual bear in our

6:30

yard that really happened. We moved to

6:32

upstate New York at the

6:34

start of the pandemic because

6:36

my husband and I both knew that

6:39

what we were seeing around us in terms

6:41

of the closures and the kind of draconian

6:45

suspensions of civil liberties meant that

6:47

something very bad geopolitically

6:49

was happening and about to happen.

6:52

So in the middle of the

6:54

woods, one day this bear

6:56

just showed up and started circling

6:58

the house while I was upstairs hiding in

7:00

the bathroom with a BB gun because I

7:02

grabbed the wrong gun. I barely

7:05

know how to shoot a real gun. I'm trying to

7:07

learn. But the metaphor there is that

7:09

the bear had gotten more and more comfortable because

7:12

we had not done anything to deter it. And then

7:14

finally we had this monster in our backyard that was

7:16

trying to break in and,

7:18

you know, menace me. And

7:21

this is a metaphor in that essay that stood

7:23

for how comfortable we've become with the role

7:25

of China. Not

7:27

seeing it as a threat. Well, China

7:29

has been waging war

7:32

on us in the way that it

7:34

has traditionally waged war, which is not

7:36

with bullets, not with a visible invasion,

7:39

but buying up our ports, buying

7:41

up our water resources, buying up

7:43

our farmland, institutional

7:45

corruption, elite capture,

7:47

regulatory capture. And

7:49

in that chapter, I'm revealing that

7:53

my original research found that

7:55

the mRNA injections, whose

7:59

devastating effects are a theme of the book

8:01

because of the work of the 3,250 doctors

8:03

and scientists that

8:06

my my site

8:08

oversees and reading through the Pfizer documents released

8:11

under court order I

8:14

found that the IP

8:16

and the manufacturing the distribution was

8:19

in an MOU with China so

8:22

basically our worst adversaries who want

8:24

us gone dead diminished

8:27

vanquished were manufacturing

8:30

distributing this injection that doctors

8:33

and scientists that Amy Kelly

8:35

and I my CEO oversaw

8:37

or oversee were

8:39

finding had caused catastrophic

8:41

levels of murder this disabling

8:45

injuries neurological injury strokes

8:48

heart attacks and

8:50

massive levels of sterilization the next

8:52

you know making more difficult for

8:54

us to kind of

8:56

replace ourselves in the next generation so that

8:59

also is the beast and then

9:01

lastly the beast is

9:03

you know metaphysical in the sense that by the

9:05

end of the book I've kind of concluded that

9:08

the evil that we

9:10

saw unleashed on the world in

9:13

2020 I

9:15

couldn't explain it in any normal

9:17

political human history it was

9:20

too massive to coordinated too

9:22

impressive to impeccable you know

9:24

all these leaders saying the

9:26

same things in lockstep and

9:29

so I kind of

9:31

reluctantly concluded there really was such

9:34

thing as you know these metaphysical dark

9:36

forces that kind of returned

9:38

to the earth and in my

9:40

analysis drawing on someone

9:42

else's work and and so

9:46

that's the beast and then you know the last

9:48

layer of the beast is there's also a theme

9:51

of how civilized

9:54

people overnight agreed to create

9:56

a discrimination society and the

9:59

ugliest part of people's

10:02

willingness to exclude and diminish

10:04

and otherwise, you

10:07

know, the unvaccinated in this case, but it

10:09

could be the Jews, or African Americans, or,

10:11

you know, gay people, or, you know, whatever,

10:13

whoever you want to exclude, right? People

10:16

who thought they were very tolerant

10:18

and egalitarian

10:20

were very happy to allow

10:23

the ugliest kind of Jim Crow type

10:26

laws to be real reestablished overnight in

10:28

America. So that too is the beast,

10:30

like what they see in the mirror

10:33

is the worst of human human

10:36

behavior toward other humans. So those are

10:38

all the beast. They're

10:40

all the beast, as you say

10:42

metaphysical, in terms

10:44

of the expansive

10:50

symbols that are, you know, that are evoked

10:52

here. When you talk about

10:54

the you as a

10:57

longtime liberal, progressive, a,

11:01

you know, a lefty,

11:04

suddenly, you're looking at all

11:06

of your friends, many of

11:08

them, and associates in

11:11

New York primarily. And

11:14

you suddenly find out that they're not

11:17

quite as tolerant as you thought they

11:19

were. And they're, they're suddenly

11:23

all and by the way, all of us are discovering

11:25

we knew that, you know, on

11:27

the on the right, people who are conservative,

11:32

really didn't like them, but didn't

11:34

really hate them, or didn't have

11:36

any desire to run them to

11:38

ground, or even in

11:42

the sense of Donald Trump, 2016, he

11:45

wins in the rallies, they're chanting lock

11:47

her up, referring, of course, to Hillary

11:49

Clinton. And you can see the

11:52

President Blanche cringe

11:54

at the very thought. And

11:57

He decided upon being president not

11:59

to prosecute. The order ribs or

12:01

she was clearly guilty of a

12:03

number of felonies end acts against

12:05

the interests of the United States.

12:08

I mean, who would have been

12:10

entirely rational and some would argue

12:12

still are entirely appropriate. But.

12:15

Then. I to see

12:17

him as he says out as

12:19

a this said former presidents of.

12:22

The end. All of a sudden they

12:24

got the they are is after blood.

12:26

They want him in prison and now

12:28

Bennie Thompson the head of the J

12:30

Six Committees. He wants him killed. He

12:32

wants to eliminate a secret service protection

12:35

for some. This is ignorance of a

12:37

level that I never dreamed we see.

12:40

Period. But. Certainly

12:42

in this moment to

12:44

see this happening or

12:46

children are. Every

12:48

one of us watching this. There.

12:51

Is no such thing as tolerance on the part of

12:53

the left. Well,

12:55

that's unfortunate trails the most part.

12:57

I mean, Obviously you

13:00

know people in the lasts. For

13:03

rank and file, Their

13:05

more than people sister. Who

13:09

are. Horrified at what? that?

13:11

Leaders of the Left In the Leadership of Left

13:14

the policies of left have become it's that you're

13:16

not very vocal you know be to their feet

13:18

have been cancelled so. I

13:20

mean sites I had a beloved relatives

13:22

and identical. This is her He and.

13:26

I. You know I was just

13:28

on as said needs era conservatives.

13:31

The facility so's and seats she asked

13:33

me not to mention. Of

13:36

because she doesn't want to be ousted by

13:38

her for a little network of of other

13:40

liberals and it's like. That's

13:43

not. That's not

13:45

the kind of liberals. The. south

13:47

a liberal isn't i was proud of

13:50

you know that with open minded and

13:52

engaged in the open debate and free

13:54

speech since respected the people had differences

13:56

of opinions that it's it's really to

13:58

tell siri and version of liberalism

14:01

that's really not liberalism anymore. It's

14:03

Marxism. It really is. It's not

14:05

an overstatement. So

14:07

yeah, we're in a bad time. That

14:10

said, as I always say at

14:12

these moments, Mr. Dobbs, partisanship

14:15

is never gonna save us because look what

14:17

happened in Congress. Both

14:21

the Republicans and the

14:23

Democrats in Congress were waving

14:26

Ukrainian flags, treasonously in

14:29

our sacred civic space

14:31

after sending billions of our

14:33

tax dollars to a

14:35

country that isn't a democracy. And

14:40

meanwhile, veterans are waiting six

14:42

months to get treated for

14:45

PTSD. I mean, it's

14:47

not a left versus right corruption right

14:49

now, although the left is particularly egregious.

14:52

It really is kind of populist

14:55

patriotic nationalists realizing

14:57

that genocidal

15:00

maniacs who are elites are

15:04

really trying to enslave and

15:08

injure them. And

15:10

this comes from this transverse partisanship.

15:13

We're talking with Naomi Wolf,

15:17

facing the beast as she puts a

15:19

courage, faith, and resistance at a new

15:21

dark age. And we're starting

15:23

to get a sense of just how dark. We'll

15:26

be right back with Naomi Wolf

15:29

and facing the beast. Stay with

15:31

us. Folks,

15:34

you know, I beg everyone to get

15:36

ready for the next crisis. And when

15:38

it comes, our lives will likely change

15:40

overnight, whether it's natural disaster, war, or

15:42

another disease. We have to be ready

15:45

as we can be. We saw what

15:47

happened in 2020 when we found ourselves

15:49

dependent on global supply chains. We're still

15:51

dependent on China and other countries for

15:53

more than 90% of

15:56

all our pharmaceuticals with clusters of

15:58

respiratory illnesses popping up. the

16:00

world and here, we need to

16:02

be prepared and now is the

16:05

time to make certain you have

what your family needs when the

16:09

next crisis hits. Our good friends

18:08

back with Naomi Wolf and the

18:10

book is, Facing the Beast and

18:12

Courage, Faith, and Resistance in a

18:14

New Dark Age. Naomi,

18:16

I just want to understand, you're

18:19

no longer a liberal. You're not,

18:22

you still want to hold on

18:24

to some of the, it

18:26

seems to me, this is my analysis

18:29

from afar. You still

18:31

want to hang on to some elements

18:34

of being what a, being a

18:36

liberal meant some, some years

18:38

ago. None of that is left.

18:41

There is none of that you referred

18:43

to. There's a totalitarian streak down the

18:45

left of whether it be Barack

18:48

Obama, no president had ever,

18:51

ever gone after journalists the way

18:53

his administration did, no

18:55

administration had ever dealt directly

18:58

and legitimized Iran as

19:00

he did. And has,

19:02

he's institutionalized that legitimacy

19:05

that he sought. And

19:07

this president Biden has

19:11

just completely embraced

19:13

it without knowing anything about what

19:15

to do when suddenly missiles

19:18

and rockets and drones are flying

19:21

toward their targets and Israel. This

19:24

is a new time and it is much darker,

19:26

isn't it? It is. I

19:29

mean, this

19:31

issue of who suppresses

19:33

liberty. I mean, first of all, I just want

19:36

to say for the record, I do still think

19:38

of myself as a liberal, but, but I'm one

19:40

of like three people who are classical

19:42

19th century liberals,

19:45

because in that time it meant, and you

19:47

know, as I said, civil rights, equal

19:50

rights, rule

19:53

of law, first amendment, freedom

19:55

of speech, you know, so I

19:57

do want to cling to that label. But

20:01

I am an independent. I did walk away

20:03

from the Democrats, just like I happened to

20:05

embrace the Republicans. But this

20:07

may be annoying, Mr. Dobbins, but

20:09

I will always, at a moment like

20:11

this, say, yes, Obama was a

20:14

catastrophe in terms of civil liberties. I

20:16

was one of the few journalists, maybe

20:18

the only American journalist I know, to

20:20

go to Guantanamo six months into his

20:23

administration. He had promised, as a campaign

20:25

promise, to close Guantanamo. And when I

20:27

was there, they were building it up

20:29

massively, building it up. He had

20:31

no intention of closing it. He was the

20:34

guy who droned American citizens. He was the

20:36

first president with a kill list. I could go

20:38

on and on. And I remember how frustrating it was

20:40

that even at that time,

20:42

liberals didn't want to hear my warnings about

20:44

that because he was our guy. And

20:47

liberals do have this blind spot that we're

20:49

good people, so we can't ever

20:52

do anything that's bad. And

20:55

there's Barack Obama with a kill list.

20:59

And it was

21:01

under his administration that the National

21:03

Defense Authorization Act was extended that

21:05

allowed the president to keep

21:08

journalists or anyone without

21:10

charge of trial indefinitely, which most Americans

21:12

don't know. But

21:14

who set the stage for that was George

21:16

Bush, Jr. And

21:19

in the wake of 9-11 and

21:22

with the launch of the global war on

21:24

terror, that's when the surveillance state

21:27

really got firmly established. That's

21:30

when people began to be

21:32

detained, unduly

21:35

without due process. That's

21:37

when there were people

21:39

who were critic, subversives

21:42

or extremists. I

21:45

mean, no one's pure in

21:47

this. We've really got to understand whatever our

21:50

views are that a party's

21:53

not going to save us. We

21:55

have to save ourselves. And our founders knew that,

21:57

right? They set it up so that it is

21:59

we. who are supposed to

22:01

impeach, get rid

22:03

of, prosecute our leaders when they

22:07

stop defending our liberties. That's

22:09

in our founding documents. So I

22:12

just want to agree with you that Obama was

22:14

a nightmare, but I

22:16

will always annoyingly point out

22:18

that it's, you know,

22:20

history shows that totalitarian

22:22

on the left and fascists on the

22:25

right take the same steps to suppress

22:27

liberties. Well, you can.

22:30

Yeah, you can give them a chance. They'll do it. Well,

22:32

honestly, you can't offend me or worry about whether

22:34

or not I would resent

22:37

you bringing up George Bush because I

22:40

was blackballed off of

22:42

my career by two White

22:44

Houses, one and all of

22:46

them from 2000 to 2000,

22:48

the two presidents of the

22:51

2000 decade. And that was George Bush,

22:53

blackball me, because I insisted that

22:56

he named the enemy radical Islamists

22:59

rather than terror. And Barack

23:03

Obama, because I insisted

23:05

on actually securing our

23:08

borders, actually maintaining a lawful

23:11

immigration regime and

23:14

insisting that we call them what

23:16

they are legally. The term is

23:18

illegal alien and

23:20

a few other offenses against the

23:23

administration. How

23:25

pressing both positions seem now. Well,

23:28

you know, it

23:30

seemed obvious, frankly, to me at the time,

23:32

and I think it did to many people,

23:35

you didn't speak out on the issue. But

23:37

the reality is that there's no

23:41

we've been dealing with a deep

23:43

state for a very long time.

23:45

The Patriot Act that you refer

23:47

to with George Bush's administration. I

23:50

mean, that is the foundation of the surveillance state

23:52

that we have today. But

23:54

it's antecedents are

23:56

long ago. You couldn't

23:58

even begin to think. that the

24:01

Pentagon Papers would be released by the Times

24:03

or the Post if

24:05

indeed they had the strictures that

24:07

we do now. And that

24:09

should sober everyone up quickly. But

24:12

this goes back many decades and people

24:14

don't want to admit that our government

24:16

lied to them from the 50s

24:18

on, particularly the

24:21

CIA, about what was Vietnam. And

24:24

that sad tragic course that had followed.

24:26

That it was pure deceit

24:28

on the part of the government. A deceit

24:30

that I think is still well in place

24:32

and invigorated. Your thoughts? I

24:36

mean, sadly, I agree with you. I actually thought you were going

24:38

to go back to, I was braced for

24:40

it, that you were going to go

24:42

back to President Lincoln in suspending habeas

24:44

corpus during the Civil War. And

24:48

then fast forward, most people have been

24:50

so erased from history, most people don't

24:52

know. And so I

24:55

was well past when I should have

24:57

learned about it, that there was a coup

24:59

attempt in the

25:02

40s, I believe, by

25:05

a group of very respected

25:08

American businessmen who admired what was going on.

25:10

Perhaps it was the 30s, I may have

25:12

my decade long, but Seddley

25:14

Butler exposed it and they admired Mussolini,

25:17

they admired Hitler, they thought that was

25:19

all great and they wanted to see

25:21

something similar in the United States. So

25:24

I totally agree with you. I

25:27

think we're in a time, and it relates to

25:29

the themes in the book, when the

25:31

scales are really falling from our eyes.

25:33

And I miss the pre-2020 time

25:36

when I believed that even

25:38

though there were some bad apples, most

25:41

journalists were trying to tell the truth. The

25:43

Washington Post and the New York Times were trying to

25:46

do a reasonable first draft of history.

25:50

I think that, sure, there was corruption, but most

25:52

of our institutions were solid. Our hospitals

25:55

wouldn't try to murder people, our schools

25:57

wouldn't be abusing children, and then all

25:59

of that got inverted in

26:01

2020 and, you know, to the

26:03

present. And I really do think we're in

26:06

a time this relates to the metaphysical nature

26:08

of the time when we're

26:10

literally all around us, history

26:12

we thought we knew turns out to be

26:14

a sham, right? We see

26:16

the erasure of history happening before our

26:18

eyes right now and the reinscribing of

26:21

new false histories, you know, happening in

26:23

real time. And we

26:25

see that we can't trust the science.

26:27

We can't trust our doctors. We can't

26:29

trust our hospitals. We can't trust the

26:31

schools wanted to suffocate our children and

26:33

keep them from learning language and, you

26:35

know, remotely educate them because they've been

26:37

bribed, you know, on and on and

26:40

on that corruption is endless. So, yeah,

26:42

it's not new, but I do think

26:44

we're seeing the depth of

26:46

it in a

26:48

uniquely transparent

26:51

way right now for reasons I can't

26:53

explain in normal terms. We

26:56

are a nation now in great

27:00

duress, distress. We

27:02

are a nation that is

27:05

at a historical point, you

27:08

know, the easy statement is it's

27:10

an inflection point. We don't know

27:12

what this is. But we do

27:14

know that we've been destabilized as

27:16

a society and a nation to

27:19

such an extent that

27:21

Barack Obama can with

27:23

his Marxist friends brag

27:25

about achieving what he

27:28

intended. And that was he announced

27:30

the fundamental transformation of America. We

27:33

just have to be sure

27:36

that we can find some

27:38

constraint against how far that

27:40

transformation goes, fundamental or

27:42

otherwise. Naomi Wolf, thank you for
