Hello,
0:00
everybody. I'm Lou Dobbs. Welcome
0:02
to the Great America Show, Truth,
0:04
Justice, and the American Way, underway
0:07
right here right now. Tomorrow
0:10
is the big day, November eight, and we're told
0:12
by nearly all of the pollsters, Republicans
0:15
will win all over the country. that
0:17
is gonna be huge. That forecast
0:20
will only be valid, of course, if we make
0:22
a point to vote. Bring our friends,
0:24
family, neighbors, whoever. let's vote
0:26
in the most important election of our
0:28
lives. Our federal government is
0:31
now openly and aggressively weaponized
0:33
by the Marxist dims and the puppet
0:35
president they control to target
0:38
their political opponents and American
0:40
citizens that is you
0:42
and me. They're using the federal
0:44
government to crush our traditions, our
0:47
values, and the Republic itself.
0:49
The outcome of every race in every
0:51
state is critically important to the
0:53
nation. This is that existential
0:56
election that we've talked about here over this
0:58
year. the republic itself
1:01
hangs in the balance and the future
1:03
of every American for generations
1:05
to come. No one better
1:07
understands that imperative than our
1:09
guest today. She chose to
1:11
do more than talk about the crisis the
1:13
nation faces she decided
1:15
to do something about it. She epitomizes
1:18
the best what it means to be an engaged
1:20
citizen. She's a true patriot.
1:23
Our guest is Carrie Lake. She gave
1:25
up a thirty year career in television news
1:28
to run for governor of Arizona. with
1:30
one thought in mind and that to make
1:32
life better for her fellow citizens. Carrie,
1:35
it's great to have you back with us here on the Great America
1:37
show. You fought a hard campaign.
1:40
You've opened up a huge lead over your
1:42
Democrat upon it. You've got to
1:44
be feeling great. It
1:46
feels great. And it's I
1:49
feel that I feel that kind of a lead when
1:51
I'm on the ground talking to the people of Arizona.
1:53
Every event we go to, it wall
1:56
to wall people. I'm sure we're breaking fire
1:58
codes everywhere we go because
1:59
people are so interested
2:02
and enthusiastic about this election. They
2:04
know what's on the line. Of course, then you get
2:06
a poll that says it's dead even or you're up by
2:08
one or three. And you just wonder
2:10
where who they're talking to, then us
2:12
be people who aren't paying attention because
2:15
I just feel something happening here, Lou,
2:17
on the ground in Arizona, and it's really
2:19
special. It's not a campaign.
2:21
It is truly a movement of we the people.
2:24
and you just have to be here to feel it, but
2:26
something's happening in Arizona. Well,
2:28
that's great. And I'm I'm certainly
2:30
hoping for for the good of the state
2:32
and for you, obviously, that
2:35
that is exactly what's going
2:37
on. Arizona needs a news
2:40
a new direction, a new energy,
2:42
and you're bringing bringing
2:44
both. would like to talk
2:46
to you about some of the interlopers that have
2:48
suddenly decided they needed to to
2:50
to come to Arizona and
2:53
and Barack Obama. You know what you're talking
2:55
about. Barack Obama,
2:57
my goodness. You you've got scared
2:59
to death when when the
3:02
the big guy rolls into town. He
3:04
he must be he must
3:06
be scared though a little bit to leave
3:08
Old Joe by himself south there in the
3:11
in the White House without his direction.
3:13
Well, Joe might wander away. That actually
3:16
would be a good thing. You know, I
3:18
I'm I'm happy to think that I'm living rent
3:20
free in Obama's mind. That's great.
3:23
You know, he's criticizing me for my
3:25
career in television as a fair
3:27
and honest journalist, you know,
3:29
criticizing the fact that I was on television. You
3:32
know, I remember people criticizing the fact that
3:34
he was a community organizer, they had a problem
3:36
with that. Look, our founding fathers
3:39
didn't have any occupation requirements.
3:42
They wanted the people, the good people of
3:44
this country to step forward as citizens and
3:47
jump into politics. They didn't want
3:49
career politicians like Joe and
3:51
Nancy and all those folks, they wanted
3:53
real people to step forward. That's
3:55
what I'm doing my background as
3:58
a fair and honest journalist has
4:00
been perfect for this. You know,
4:02
how many people can say they had a thirty year
4:04
career where their job, everything us to go
4:06
into work and wrap their arms around the
4:08
biggest story facing the faith. It's
4:10
been a perfect background for
4:13
me and I will say I believe that my
4:15
communication skills have been honed, but
4:17
we need good communicators in office. It's
4:19
been a while since we've had a good communicator
4:21
and I always look to the great Ronald Reagan. and
4:24
how he was so able to effectively
4:26
communicate what he wanted to do for the country,
4:28
the direction we needed to go, and
4:30
to get people to think more optimistically.
4:33
Yeah. I
4:33
would say in Arizona, it's been a while since
4:36
you had a governor who
4:38
really cared about the people, let alone
4:40
communicating with them. It's
4:42
it's it's great to see your
4:45
candidacy, the fact that you are
4:47
attracting so many, so
4:49
many great Arizona's
4:51
to your campaign, to your movement.
4:54
You've attracted also the attention
4:56
of the
4:57
the deep left.
5:00
Liz Cheney, and
5:02
I understand that she's done nothing but boost
5:04
your fundraising. That's terrific. give
5:07
us give us a sense of what
5:09
you think the Democratic Party thinks
5:11
they're doing, trotting out
5:13
obama, Liz Cheney.
5:15
I mean, who's next? Hillary
5:17
and Kamala on the road? I
5:19
mean, the state will tell you who's next. I'll
5:22
tell you who next. Eric Holder
5:24
is here right now. Eric Holder
5:27
is actually in Arizona right now. He's
5:29
comical. It's like God couldn't
5:31
give me any more gifts. When he drew Liz
5:33
Cheney with my way with the
5:35
anti endorsement, we raised
5:37
half a million dollars in thirty six
5:39
hours. People are so
5:42
turned off by everything she's about.
5:44
The party of of warmongers
5:47
is now the Democrat Party. The republican
5:50
party is the party of ideas that work,
5:52
common sense solutions, and
5:54
Liz Cheney knows that her political
5:56
career is over. And it's
5:58
it's comical that she would think she could come to
6:00
Arizona after she got drummed out
6:02
of her own state basically
6:05
by the voters. Well,
6:06
in the case of Eric Holder, though, he's
6:09
just returning to the scene of the crime. I
6:11
mean, this is the guy who
6:13
who I was in contempt of congress,
6:15
No one put him on criminal
6:17
referral, but it was contempt of congress
6:19
for fast and furious. A border
6:22
patrol agent killed in
6:24
the as a result of all that happened
6:26
with that transported guns sanctioned
6:28
by none other than Eric Holder.
6:31
The president's wingman, I wasn't thinking
6:33
I forgive me, Kerry. I
6:35
forgot. If Obama is in Arizona,
6:38
Eric Holder has to be nearby because he's
6:40
his wingman. Remember?
6:41
Right? It tells you that they're afraid.
6:44
They're afraid of a governor coming
6:46
in. I mean, maybe starting to dig around
6:48
a little bit. Eric Holder,
6:50
Barack Obama, Randy Gun
6:52
running
6:53
it
6:54
basically, plan with
6:56
the cartels. and
6:58
we ended up losing a great
7:00
Braid border patrol agent named Bryantary
7:02
in the state. And as far as
7:04
I'm concerned, her running
7:07
with these people makes
7:09
her absolutely she's
7:11
unelectable. She should be drummed out right
7:13
now before she even get the chance to collect
7:15
today because these are the worst of the worst.
7:18
They're truly the worst of the worst and why she
7:20
would be running with them. It shows how desperate
7:22
she is. It shows they don't even have
7:24
the base flu. If they have to bring
7:26
a Barack Obama and the disgraced
7:28
Eric Holder out to try to
7:31
scroutled together and and cobble together,
7:33
I should say, a few people to
7:35
vote for her. There's no excitement for
7:37
her campaign and her candid to see.
7:40
It's it's a pretty sad set
7:42
of figures when you talk about
7:45
Eric Holder and Barack Obama Eric
7:48
Holder, the president's wingman, fast
7:50
and furious, Brian Terry,
7:53
killed as a result of operation fast
7:55
and furious, ATF, DEA,
7:59
the justice
7:59
department, all of
8:02
them are
8:02
solid by that that
8:05
operation sanctioned by Eric Holder,
8:07
obviously. But the president is
8:09
out trying to save Katie
8:11
Hobbs and Joe Biden's fat. I
8:13
mean, it's crazy. Because
8:15
he's the guy who lost sixty three
8:18
house seats. and twelve
8:20
senate seats in his his
8:22
tenure as president. I mean,
8:24
that's that was a half century
8:27
bad experience for the Democratic
8:29
Party, and now they're trying to replicate it,
8:32
no telling how many votes you're
8:34
gonna get now. It's
8:36
really interesting though. Barack Obama
8:38
has lost any of his appeal. I
8:40
and I'm not just saying that as somebody
8:43
who as opposed to everything that
8:45
he stands for and everything Katie Hobbs stands
8:47
for. I didn't see a lot of
8:49
excitement from Democrats. I mean, the people that
8:51
were in that crowd where a lot of the people who
8:53
are just part of the, you
8:55
know, democrat party and
8:57
and the operative. I didn't see a lot
8:59
of excitement or hear people talking
9:01
about being excited that he
9:03
was here in town. He's lost his
9:05
star power, and I don't think that
9:07
it did her much good to have him. He lost
9:09
Arizona twice. and here she is
9:11
bringing him in. And it shows, to me, it
9:13
was really I I
9:15
don't even know what the word is if it's sad or
9:17
despicable that we have our first black president
9:20
coming to town, stomping for a
9:22
candidate for governor who is a
9:24
twice convicted racist. She
9:26
was convicted twice, both unanimous convictions
9:29
by the jury of
9:31
paying a block worker in her
9:33
office, a woman, a single
9:35
mother, thirty thousand dollars less to
9:37
do the same job that she paid men
9:39
in the office. And when the woman
9:41
came to her and said, why am I making thirty
9:43
thousand dollars less, Katie hops fired
9:45
her. Two curies found Katy Hubs
9:47
guilty, the people of Arizona, are
9:49
paying two point seven five million dollars in
9:51
settlement fees because
9:53
of that. I can't believe that Barack
9:56
Obama would come to this town, to this
9:58
state and campaign for somebody who
10:00
is racist. It's really appalling.
10:02
Yes.
10:02
It is. And he's and and then when he's in
10:05
Georgia, of course, he's demonizing
10:07
Hershel Walker. It's
10:11
for for being quote uneducated.
10:14
He's an elitist. He's
10:16
a globalist. He is a
10:19
condace I mean, I don't know. I think the man is
10:21
extraordinarily racist in
10:23
his his own nature.
10:26
Because he looks down his
10:28
nose at anyone
10:30
who is less educated, who
10:32
works for a living with their hands,
10:34
the middle class of this
10:36
country, they are nothing but peons
10:38
and peasants as far as he's concerned.
10:40
I and I he loves talking about himself.
10:42
I we counted up one time and one of
10:44
his state of the union speeches. over
10:46
a hundred references to himself.
10:48
Can you imagine that, Kerrie? A
10:51
hundred references to himself,
10:53
but this is after all
10:55
Barack Obama. I I wanna turn to -- Okay.
10:57
-- work to that border.
10:59
An illegal alien wanted
11:01
by ICE breaking into
11:04
allegedly Democrat Kitty Hobbs'
11:06
office. How does how
11:08
does she square that up with her open borders
11:10
policies?
11:11
Well, first, she didn't want to admit
11:13
that, and she blamed me for the break in trying
11:15
to make it into some Watergate style break
11:18
in, which was comical. because I didn't even know she
11:20
had a campaign office. Lou, I thought she
11:22
was campaigning from her basement. True.
11:24
It is true. He's homeless.
11:27
he is here illegally
11:29
and he's a repeat offender.
11:31
He's got a he's got a rap sheet of
11:33
doing this kind of break in and And it's
11:35
interesting that she would fall victim to the
11:37
policies that she's
11:39
pushing. These policies that are
11:41
making her crime spike
11:43
by having a wide open border by a
11:46
defunding police, not
11:48
giving the attention to law enforcement
11:50
that we need. She's actually denounced law
11:52
enforcement in order to get the planned parenthood
11:54
to get their endorsement
11:56
and their money. And so it's the
11:58
leftist policy fees that have destroyed
12:00
California and she wants to
12:02
push here that will increase
12:04
her crime and to think that she
12:06
became a victim of that kind
12:08
of crime. It's really instant
12:11
karma in my opinion. But I
12:13
I believe that this is why the people
12:15
we're seeing a huge numbers of the suburban
12:18
mom that's coming our way
12:20
because they want safe streets. They
12:22
recognize the homeless population
12:24
is growing. They recognize that
12:26
it's no longer safe for their kids to play
12:28
and ride their bikes down the street. It's no
12:30
longer safe to walk across the grocery store
12:32
parking lot because we're seeing these kind
12:34
of crimes spike. And
12:36
that's why they're voting with Republicans. with
12:39
my plan, we're going to take
12:41
control of our border. On day one, we're
12:43
going to issue a declaration of invasion, and
12:45
we are going to begin to take
12:47
back control from the cartels that Joe
12:50
Biden ceded the power to.
12:52
And I think people are recognizing so
12:54
many of our problems in Arizona stem
12:56
from that wide open border. we're
12:58
going to take back our state's rights and our
13:00
state sovereignty. And I believe when we
13:03
do that here in Arizona, we will begin
13:05
to save the whole country. because the whole
13:07
country's suffering because our borders
13:09
open.
13:10
And and I couldn't agree with you
13:12
more. And your emphasis on parental
13:14
rights in our school systems,
13:16
taking control of our
13:18
public education, that
13:21
it is to me one of the great
13:24
the great issues of our time. And
13:27
public education has always been,
13:29
of course, the great equalizer in our
13:31
society. no matter where you came
13:33
from, who you were, if
13:35
you could go to a public school and
13:38
demonstrate intelligence and hard work
13:40
and talent, you
13:42
were going to have a foundation
13:44
for success and opportunity in
13:46
your life and to see that
13:48
denied so many children. right
13:50
now because of conflicts over
13:52
everything from gender
13:54
transitioning, sex
13:56
education for nine year olds.
13:59
it's it's really time for
14:01
strong leadership like yours
14:04
in the state of Arizona, and I hope in
14:06
states all across the country. Well,
14:08
we're leading the bay. We got ESA for
14:10
all, which is basically the, you know, the left calls
14:12
it vouchers, but we're funding our students
14:14
now, not the school system. and
14:16
that's a huge plus. Katie Hobbs my opponent
14:19
after that was voted in by
14:22
after the legislature voted on it and passed
14:24
it and the governor signed that bill
14:26
and parents report. She tried to
14:28
stop it once again. Thankfully,
14:30
it didn't work. So now we
14:32
have funding of the students, not the
14:34
system. And I believe that's best way to
14:36
improve our public schools' loop is good
14:38
old fashioned competition where people
14:40
start to leave and take their kids
14:42
out, they're going to have to reassess
14:44
what they're doing. and change up the curriculum.
14:46
No parent wants their kids being
14:48
taught CRT or whatever else
14:50
they wanna call it. They don't want their kids
14:52
being taught to be racist. They
14:55
don't want this ridiculous sixteen
14:57
nineteen curriculum that's disparaging our
14:59
country and our history and not
15:01
telling a true story. and that's why we're going to
15:03
bring the Hillsdale College seventeen
15:05
seventy six curriculum, which
15:07
is the truth about America.
15:09
and they certainly don't want their
15:11
kids being subjected to what
15:13
I believe is psychological abuse with
15:15
this gender confusion and
15:18
sex education at such a young age. My
15:20
opponent Katie Hobbs sponsored a piece of
15:22
legislation to introduce
15:24
sex education beginning in kindergarten.
15:27
Okay.
15:27
correct kindergarten. She
15:30
is
15:30
so out of touch with what families want
15:32
and what Arizona is about. We need to send
15:34
her packing and make sure we get
15:36
out and vote next Tuesday like
15:38
our lives depend on it and like our kids'
15:40
lives in future and liberty depends
15:42
on it. Well,
15:43
I have to say, I just talked
15:46
with Ted Cruz the other
15:48
day, and he had just come back
15:50
from Arizona. singing your phrases
15:52
and and seeing the phrases of
15:54
all the republican candidates there. And
15:56
he's predicting a red tidal
15:58
wave for Arizona. for
16:00
much of the country. And I just wanted to pass
16:02
that along. I I'm sure he shared that with
16:05
you, but he thinks very
16:07
highly of you. as do we
16:09
all and wish you all the very best of
16:11
luck on November eight, Kerry.
16:14
Thanks for being I
16:15
really appreciate And and Ted's why senator
16:17
Cruz is wonderful. We loved having him out here.
16:19
We've had some great Republicans come out and
16:21
campaign with us. What we're going to do
16:23
in Arizona is going to
16:25
be really good, not just for our state,
16:27
but for our whole country. And I think we'll
16:29
get other border states to fellows too. And
16:31
so thank you for having me on
16:33
throughout this long
16:35
campaign period, I appreciate
16:37
you allowing me to talk to your
16:39
listeners because I know how much America
16:41
loves you and how much you love this country.
16:44
Very kind, Kerry. God bless
16:46
you, and thanks so much. And
16:48
again, good luck on
16:50
November eight. Thank you
16:51
so much. Bye bye.
16:54
Thanks,
16:54
everybody. Tomorrow is Election
16:57
Day and
