Rosita, my first Cuban, is here to tell us what life was like there back when Fidel Castro was in power, the real situation about the world renowned doctors, who is talented enough to dance salsa and how she overcame her imposter syndrome as a foreigner in the UK. Rosita moved to Manchester to be close to her Cuban husband who already lived in the UK. She has had since lots of firsts in this country, such as trying her first McDonalds, going to big automated stores with just a till and a scanner, having a baby here when she could barely speak any English. She also told me how doing TikToks during lockdown got her work for the beauty brand Monet and also about getting back to work as a dental nurse, as she had always wanted.
