This week at The Film Club we’re talking about Star Wars: The Force Awakens! The film takes place thirty years after the Battle of Endor and the destruction of the Galactic Empire. A new threat has emerged in the galaxy The First Order which is picking up where the Empire left off. General Leia Organa the leader of The Resistance must continue to fight to keep the galaxy safe while searching for her brother Luke who has disappeared. Resistance pilot Poe Dameron travels to a desert planet called Jakku to retrieve a part of a map that will lead to the location of Luke Skywalker. While on Jakku Poe is apprehended by The First Order and taken to their leader Kylo Ren who tortures Poe for information about the map.
