Welcome to another edition in our series of Hiking podcasts. With this podcast I will take you on a journey up to 14ers in Colorado. 14ers are peaks that are 14,000 feet and above. We began our journey up Mt. Bierstadt whose trailhead is at Guanella Pass near Georgetown, Colorado. The starting altitude at the trailhead was approximately 11,669 feet. The altitude at the summit of Bierstadt is 14,060 ft. After summitting Bierstadt, my son and I traversered the sawtooth over to Mt. Evans; whose summit is 14,265 ft. It was a great climb, and we avoided some nasty weather.
The sawthooth is rated as a class 3 scramble, which means you will be using your hands and legs to scramble up and down rock formations as well as climb up and over the far edge of the sawtooth and onto Mt. Evans. Enjoy the video as well as the pictures. As always with the 360 degree video and pictures, scroll around to get the full effect.

Start of the sawtooth. Notice the rain coming. It’s going around, but it was close. Point the view down. That’s a 1,000 foot drop over the edge!
