As the name suggests the host in bald and a scientist. As a bald man myself I have to make it clear there is no bias in this review!Your first thoughts of a podcast hosted by a scientist with a PhD in Pharmacology and a love of flatworms is it’s going to be heavy, the content interesting but dry. In the case of The Bald Scientist Podcast you’d be wrong! The scientist in question is Oné R Pagán and a glorious person he is too. Such is the charm of Oné, his voice, his kindness, his mannerisms, his smile (check him out of Twitter!) that even if you have zero interest in science you should listen to this show.Oné covers a range of topics from biology and physics to interviews to becoming a published science writer and of course his beloved Planarians – he himself describes the show as ‘a podcast about science, from the factual to the fictional, and sometimes a bit of both’. Regardless of topic what you’re guaranteed get every episode is a big serving of humanity and good humour. You’ll be left feeling the world is a better place after listening.
