Welcome to The Anachronist, a time traveling review of science fiction old and new. Every episode we go back to a different year in history and read their science fiction. This episode we go to the distinctly sub par year of 2016 to read an excellent story, “The Shape of My Name” by Nino Cipri. This is a time travel story centred around a trans man named Heron and their relationship with their non-accepting mom who abandoned them at the age of 12. That sounds really heavy, but the podcast episode isn’t. We also try out a new end segment where we talk about our various obsessions.
