Based on the responses in the weekly poll, I have decided to title this show “Is Luke A Gary Sue or Rey A Mary Sue”. On this episode, I'll try to settle to debate on whether Luke or Rey are perfect characters.

One of the biggest arguments coming out of Star Wars: The Force Awakens was Rey being “too perfect” figuring out how to solve every little problem in the nick of time with little to no help and of course her ability to use the Force without the teachings of the trained Jedi. Defenders of Rey have gone so far as to label Luke Skywalker a “Gary Sue” based on the fact that he was able to destroy the Death Star with just the Force and two proton torpedoes.
