In episode 2, Gabrielle talks with a former English teacher about the power of podcasts both as a way to flip a classroom and expand the conversation, and as a medium for students to present their analysis of the texts they read. Heather Ordover taught high school English before creating Craftlit, or “Audiobooks with Benefits.” Ordover “teaches” books such as Frankenstein or Pride and Prejudice that are in the public domain via Craftlit, providing context, vocabulary, teacherly suggestions about a chapter or two per episode. Listeners can participate in the discussion via Twitter, Facebook, Ravelry, a call-in line, or email.
