Ikigai is a Japanese term. It was found that in the island of Okinawa in Japan, the proportion of the number of people living healthily, happily, and meaningfully above the age of 100 is maximum in Okinawa compared to anywhere in the world. Apart from their healthy diet and clean water and air, scientists found that they practice ikigai and hence are able to be healthy and happy. For Ikigai we have to find out what we are good at, what we love, what the world needs, and if the world will pay for that work. The common thing in all four - that is what we call the intersection of these four gives us our Ikigai. Then we are able to contribute to the world with what we are good at, love that work, the world needs that work, and the world pays for it.
