Frida Polli is CEO &  Co-founder of pymetrics, the talent matching platform based on behavioral science and ethical AI. In this episode, MBO Partners talks with Frida about her experiences as a female founder to her application of years in neuroscience research for an AI-driven future of work platform that increases organizational diversity. Frida talks about how, after ten years in academic neuroscience at Harvard and MIT, she was yearning to apply all the advances in what has been uncovered about human behavior to make headway on actual human decision-making challenges. She founded pymetrics to apply these cognitive science insights to hiring, mobility, and reskilling.

She also speaks about the need for algorithmic tools in this space to be designed ethically, specifically in terms of being designed to eliminate disparate impact, or yielding outcomes with gender or ethnic bias. She talks about the impact of algorithms in assessing hard and soft skills and matching jobs to people, particularly independent professionals.
