We return to Egypt to listen to a remarkable, heart-felt expression of love for the divine.


We revisit one of my favorite places, experiences and people:

Our guide and friend Emil Shaker takes us to meet the Imam of the Ar Rifai Mosque (also called the Mosque of the Snakes or the Mosque of the Healers). The Imam, a sufi master, takes us into the Royal Tombs (Khedive Ismail, King Farouk), turns off the lights and sings in Arabic. Amazing and moving."
