We visit Rila and Rhodope in Bulgaria. This is the first of two shows about the area. We talk about contemporary Sofia and Bulgaria, then we move steadily back in time through Bulgarian history, then on through the Thracian period, finally ending with the 7 sacred lakes of the Rila mountain.
