The Asian diaspora in America started in the 1800s. Asian American history is long and complicated and we can still see its effects today, whether it be in socioeconomic status, immigration patterns and even racial biases and hate crimes. Being one of the fastest-growing minority groups and the most diverse one in the U.S., we want to explore the complexity and intersectionality of the pan-Asian American experience in the past and today.
