The trio discusses the surprising value of silos within organizations and departments as they allow for expertise, but Bob says if we aren't knocking down walls, we need to install windows so that experience and expertise can be shared. Bob goes on to explain that cities aren't that different than factories (based on a statement by Quito, Equador Mayor, Mauricio Rodas Espinel) and technology doesn't replace the people in these operations but instead makes them run much better.
