Hello, Friends. Welcome to my literary podcast Something Like Love, Season 2, Episode 1. I’m Shelley Leedahl in lovely Ladysmith on Vancouver Island, and this is my literary podcast. The 10 shows in Season 2 will feature random weekly themes, and I’ll release a new episode each Wednesday.

I'm a professional multi-genre writer with several published books. I'm also an amateur musician. (Pre-Covid, I visited the Oyster Harbour Seniors' Community in Ladysmith and the Chemainus Health Care Centre each week to play guitar, piano and sing for seniors. I sing for and with others for the sheer joy of it, not because I'm any great shakes in the music department. )

In Season 2 of Something Like Love you’re going to hear a “Shellified” cover song, a selection of prose or poems – either from my already-published books or new work – and a meditation to soothe and inspire as we stumble together through these unprecedented times. Text, music, and production are on me.  Cover art, "Social Bubble," is by Taylor Leedahl.

The theme for Season 2, Episode 1  is the moon. The cover song is "Fly Me to the Moon;" I read my poetic moon-themed story The Moon Watched It All  (Red Deer Press, beautifully illustrated by Toronto artist Aino Anto), and a guided meditation follows.
