I’m driving solo today. I’ve received instructions from my Crew Chief and Spotter. It’s Presidents Day, 2024, and I’m only 2 hours South of Daytona Beach enjoying the final leg of our family vacation. A rainy Sunday, has unexpectedly postponed the 66th NASCAR Daytona 500, so I’m inviting my Nephew Ricky, to help me, bring you “Sounds from Raceday.” It’s “The Great American Race.” The Super Bowl of Stock Car Racing.
