RATING
one of my recent new favs
It's fun, it's silly, it's interesting at times Nothing groundbreaking but I like the host's rapport and the gossipy vibe. Sometimes a little boring.
The more casual tone you see in a lot of true crime podcasts works well here because these are more white collar sort of crimes. I'd be happy to see more content like this.
Exceptional delivery but their constant anti-white rhetoric takes away from the story. They have every white I mean right to spread their feelings of superiority and their hatred of white culture, but if I made the same comments they make but did the comments against Muslim and minorities I guarantee these two would come out screaming racism. Typical rules are for thee not me leftist mentality. I would be interested into seeing how many white people support their program compared to Muslims and other minority groups. Sure I will get some hate from my comments but use to it.
I know for a fact it's tough to pull off what these 2 ladies do, week in and week out. I'm not their demo but I'm a huge fan of their writing and execution of this podcast. I enjoy their banter, and don't really snowflake into a spiral if they say something snarky about men, white men, white straight men or white straight men with a lot of money and a scamfluencing mind :) It's a good show. Give them a listen!
A reasonably entertaining podcast, marred by poor handling of racial issues. A recent episode opens with the question "what do you not want a white person to teach you", which could be funny as comedy, but it's played straight. Things go downhill from there. The hosts make sweeping generalizations and conflate skin color with culture, i.e. "brown families work like this". Some of their comments suggest outright cultural segregation, implying that white people should only do white-culture-things and brown people should only do brown-culture-things, etc. The more you think about it, the more absurd and gross it feels. If you can look past that, it's light, fun listening, and the content is always interesting. But if you'd be distracted by regressive takes on race, skip this one.
Let there own politics into the stories.
Very poorly researched. The hosts make disparaging and ableist comments. Thier take on cultural appropriation is basically you're only allowed to do thinga your race invented (i.e. only Indian people are allowed to do yoga).
