Along the Aegean Islands makeshift cities have been created to house those seeking asylum, fleeing conflict in Africa and the Middle East. Unfortunately, the refugees who live in these camps experience very poor living conditions, with often no idea of what the future holds. I spoke to Orla, a volunteer who has spent considerable amounts of time in Greece, witnessing these hardships first hand.
Now back from her second summer in Samos, she explains the current issues and what needs to be done to alleviate this crisis.
