Newtonia Patrice Hemphill was born (October 18, 1981) the 3rd child of three children, to Newton Hemphill, Jr and Patricia Ann Washington Hemphill. She has one brother, Anthony D Hemphill and one sister, Cassandra D Hemphill Hamilton.Newtonia, graduated with a Bachelors of Arts in Criminal Justice and a minor in Psychology from Clark Atlanta University in 2004. She attend graduate seminary school Mercer University's McAfee School of Theology working to obtain a dual Masters in Divinity and Community Counseling with an emphasis in Pastoral Care and Counseling. However, Mercer did not yield the fruit Newtonia needed to grow as a Pastor and Counseling in Training. So, God move Newtonia to the Morehouse School of Religion at The Interdenominational Theological Center, also in Atlanta. She completed a Masters in Christian Education in 2011. Serving as Chaplain of her graduate seminary was rewarding and now severing as Chaplain and Community Relations Specialist of her undergraduate Dallas- Ft. Worth Alumni Chapter has ever greater rewards. Newtonia is a called preacher in process of learning her realm as God is using her. Newtonia was licensed and ordained under the watchful eye of friend and classmate, Pastor Douglas Miller II of Damascus Road Baptist Church, now in Griffin.Newtonia, education is bigger than knowing how to spell your name. Education to her is life! Still, her classroom is her pulpit, simply because she is helping to train the next generation of scholastic young people. Newtonia is currently working on a Texas EC-6 Bilingual Certification and Special Education with the Texas A+ Alternative Teacher Certification. In the near future, plans on working toward Doctorate of Ministry, a PhD in Marriage Family and Couples Therapy, and a degree engaging curriculum and instruction as well as law.
