Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter and Voice Actor Extraordinaire Grey DeLisle-Griffin voices more characters than any other female in the voiceover industry, according to Behind the Voice Actors. I am blessed to work with this dynamic diva on Curious George and she's just amazing to watch in action!In this episode of Rolonda on Demand, Grey shares how she got into the voice acting business, how she thwarted all the naysayers to become a sensational success in the voice industry, what she has learned about the tough, fun and lucrative business of voicing characters, and what she advises those entering the industry to keep in mind.Grey's Bio:Grey DeLisle-Griffin is an accomplished American voice actress and GRAMMY® Award winning singer-songwriter. DeLisle is currently recording the voices of Lola, Lana, and Lily on Nickelodeon’s smash hit The Loud House, “Xandra” on The Legend of the Three Caballeros, “Stella” in episodes of Disney Junior television series, Miles from Tomorrowland, opposite Olivia Munn and Tom Kenny, “Burn” in episodes of DreamWorks Animation’s, Turbo Fast, opposite Reid Scott, and the voice of “Harmony” in Lucasfilm Animation’s Star Wars: Detours, opposite Seth MacFarlane, Joel McHale, Seth Green, and Zachary Levi.A familiar voice in today’s popular cartoons and video games, DeLisle’s voice career is one that spans almost two decades. DeLisle has voiced over 1500 characters- more characters than any female in the industry, according to Behind The Voice Actors. Between iconic characters like “Daphne Blake” from the classic Scooby-Doo franchise and “Emily Elizabeth” on Clifford the Big Red Dog, to cult favorites like “Azula” of Avatar: The Last Airbender and “Ming-Hua” on The Legend of Korra, DeLisle’s credits list is one with wide range.Some of DeLisle’s other credits include the new voice of Martin Prince and twins Sherri and Terri on The Simpsons, PDC Comics characters’ “Lois Lane” and “Wonder Woman,” heroic “Lady Sif” on Marvel Comics’ Mighty Thor and the evil “Amora the Enchantress” on the Superhero Squad Series. In addition to cartoon series, DeLisle has voiced characters in major motion picture animations such as Disney’s Bolt, Twentieth Century Fox Films’ The Book of Life and Studio Ghibli’s When Marni was there which were both nominated for Golden Globe® Awards. Most recently she played the biker fairy “Dewdrop” in Disney Pixar’s Onward!Well known for her voice range, DeLisle is also an accomplished singer, having released five full-length albums and contributing songs to several soundtracks and tribute compilations from 2000-2007. The compilation album, Beautiful Dreamer: The Songs of Stephen Foster, which featured DeLisle’s rendition of “Willie We Have Missed You,” won a GRAMMY® Award in the category for Best Traditional Folk Album in 2005.DeLisle-Griffin is of Dutch and Mexican descent.
