As the youth of America leave the church at an alarming rate, and the storms of life take their toll on your faith, it can be tempting to think there is something lacking or wrong with the word of God. However, as Jesus points out in the Parable of the Sower, there is nothing wrong with the seed, or the unchanging word of God, but the quality of the soil it lands on. An open heart that retains God’s word is like good soil that yields a crop, and the seed of God’s word, which is always the same, has the ability to return the same yield in you. The question is – are you ready to receive the seed of God’s word in your heart, and what quality is the soil it lands on in you?
